Bloom 2026 recap 💁‍♀️

After several months of planning we were so excited to get on-site to the Phoenix Park and join the comms team once more.🌼🌸

One of our favourite weeks of the year, Bloom is always a hive of activity. We love being able to tell the stories of all the wonderful organisers, designers, producers, horticulturalists and makers from around Ireland at this fantastic event.

Huge congratulations to all and for putting together another fantastic showcase for the best that Ireland has to offer and to the team for once again doing such a super job capturing all the action✨

Bord Bia Bloom continues until Monday June 1st in the Phoenix Park Dublin, from 9am-6pm each day ☀️

The sun is out, which can only mean one thing - it’s time for !🌿

We were delighted to once again work closely with the Bord Bia communications team this year and most of our team are going to be working onsite in the Phoenix Park this week as the festival celebrates its landmark 20th year.

Ahead of the show’s opening, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights from this year’s media campaign, which focussed on telling the stories of those exhibiting and featuring in this year’s line-up.

Bord Bia Bloom takes place from this Thursday 28th May - Monday June 1st and is a showcase of the very best of Irish horticulture, food and drink. With +300 talks and demos across six stages and five demo areas, 100 Irish food and drink producers exhibiting in the food village, 20 spectacular Show Gardens, 17 plant nurseries, 14 Postcard Gardens, a new Wellness village and much much more, there’s plenty to entertain all ages. 🙌

Don’t miss out on your chance to join in, visit bordbiabloom.com to secure your ticket today - up to two children go free with every adult ticket purchased.🎟️

We are delighted to be working with our friends to support the launch of their new Natural Yoghurt Pouches.💙

Glenilen Farm’s new large format Natural Yoghurt Pouches, now available in 500g and 1kg sizes, offer a convenient alternative to traditional yoghurt tubs – with a squeezable, resealable format to keep the product fresher for longer once opened.🙌

Made using milk sourced from neighbouring farms around Drimoleague, West Cork, and packed with live, gut-friendly cultures, the new range champions Glenilen Farm’s commitment to simple, wholesome food made using a few carefully chosen ingredients.🐮

Have you spotted Glenilen Farm’s new Natural Yoghurt Pouches in store yet? Available nationwide in selected retailers.

Ireland will take centre stage in global agriculture this May, when it hosts the 2026 Nuffield Agri-Summit.

Led by Nuffield Ireland as part of the global Nuffield International network, this is set to be a pivotal international gathering expected to disrupt common assumptions and shape global debate and action on food security. With 300 delegates expected to attend to network and hear from top level speakers from Ireland and overseas, the summit is a must for anyone interested in food security and the future of global farming. The distinguished line‑up of Irish and International speakers and panelists include:

⚫David McWilliams, Adjunct Professor of Global Economics at Trinity College Dublin, author and podcaster
⚫Simon Coveney, former Tánaiste and former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
⚫Phil Hogan, former EU Commissioner for Trade and for Agriculture and Rural Development
⚫Dr Tassos Haniotis – Research Scholar of the IIASA and Special Adviser with Forum for the Future of Agriculture
⚫Ksenija Simovic, Senior Policy Advisor, Copa-Cogeca, Brussels

The Agri-Summit is the flagship event of the 14th Nuffield Triennial, which runs from 18–26 May 2026. Held every three years in a different member country, the Triennial fosters collaboration among Nuffield Scholars worldwide. Ireland last hosted a Nuffield Triennial in 2008, and this year’s programme will see delegates undertake a nine‑day study tour with visits to more than 30 dairy, sheep and mixed farms, agribusinesses and research bodies.

We are delighted to be supporting on the incredible work it is doing in the global agricultural landscape. Tickets for the 2026 Nuffield Agri-Summit, including the gala banquet, are selling quickly. To register your place, visit www.nuffield2026.com

As April draws to a close, we want to mark the birthdays of our fabulous colleagues Ann and Kiah.

Creative, joyful, straight-talking and whip-smart, there are endless ways we could describe their personalities and skill sets.

We are so lucky to have them on our team at &Smyth and wish them both a fantastic year ahead!

List, Watch, Read, Follow: Earth Day Edition

As communicators, we take Earth day as an opportunity to reflect on the way we communicate about the climate, and how, through the power of communication, we can inspire change.

To mark the day this year, we wanted to highlight some of our favourite podcasts, programmes, books, and people that not only raise awareness about ways in which we can tackle the climate crisis, but also live and breathe their values; those who are using their platforms to make change through how they communicate through word, voice, screen, or social.

And while today gives us a platform to call out the hard work being done to protect our planet, the real work happens in the everyday, all year round, in the small choices we make. Through the stories we share, the clients we work with, and our Climate Hub, we foster the belief that small values-led actions, when communicated clearly and consistently, can drive collective impact.

At a time when climate anxiety and uncertainty can feel overwhelming, reconnecting with community, place and purpose has never mattered more.🌿

In our latest Climate Hub blog, Account Manager reflects on stepping away from screens and into shared experiences - from working alongside in Ennistymon to coming together with fellow B Corps during B Corp Month. These moments offer a powerful reminder of the role that real conversations, shared experiences and collective action play in building momentum for change.🤝
