Hi, I’m Joshua, and I'm the person behind Breton Social.

For the last six months, I’ve been providing social media management for an IT company that’s delivering services to businesses across the globe. And now, in just a few weeks’ time, I’ll be going fully solo with Breton Social. I'm truly excited for what is to come!

My goal is simple: To help businesses to take the pressure of social media off their already busy schedules.

From creating consistent, engaging content and eye-catching graphics to managing your social channels and helping get more eyes on your products and services, Breton Social is here to give your business the online presence it deserves.

But where did my interest in all of this begin, you ask?

My experience with marketing actually goes back many years, and long before I even realised that what I was doing was marketing.

A social media venture of my own went on to generate hundreds of thousands of views, leading to:
- 3 TV appearances across BBC One and Channel 5 📺
- An award for Northern Ireland Young Campaigner of the Year 🏆
- Contributions to BBC Radio Ulster 🎙️
- Features and contributions involving the Huffington Post and Daily Mirror 📰
- Creating content from the front of the crowd at live shows for a local music review company 🎵
- Interviewing musicians and turning those conversations into blog content 🎤
- Attending a Seattle tourism gathering at the former London home of Jimi Hendrix 🇺🇸
- Radio host for a local morning breakfast show covering Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon areas 📻

Outside of work, I’m a big believer in experiencing as much of the world as possible. I love travelling and have been fortunate enough to visit Uganda, South Africa, Canada and many countries across mainland Europe.

You’ll also usually find me reading personal development books, getting outdoors for a walk, or spending time with family and friends.

The end of the summer staycations, and a huge hello to September! 🍂

A couple of weeks ago, we ventured down to Dublin for a couple of nights, making the most of one of those final summer getaways before September arrived.

We started with brunch and coffee at Strandfield on the way down, before enjoying the chilled surroundings of the Castleknock Hotel and exploring Grafton Street, Trinity College, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, and the hustle and bustle of Dublin’s side streets as we made our way from one destination to the next.

But one of the things I love about what I do with Breton Social is that my work can come with me.

The office sure looked a little different for a couple of days.

I swapped the usual home office in Co. Armagh for the stunning sea views of Portrush on the North Coast, enjoying a little staycation with the family.

The laptop still came with me, of course! 💻

A few hours of work each day in the hotel certainly made for a nice change of scenery.

But one of the things I love about building Breton Social is having the flexibility to balance work with the moments that matter of all.

There was plenty of good coffee, tasty food, a bit of fun at Curry’s Funpark, and most importantly, quality time spent with my parents, my sister and my nephew.

Now it’s back to Co. Armagh, refreshed, recharged and ready to keep creating, growing and helping businesses to strengthen their presence on social media.

Sometimes, a change of scenery is exactly what you need. 🌊
