Starting your own business is never an easy feat... and it may seem like there are more obstacles in the way than anything else - but remember you've got this!

Having met 100's of entrepreneurs and business leaders over the years 3 pieces of advice that have resonated with me are:
(i) Always have a plan - the act of writing something down makes it 42 percent more likely to happen!
(ii) Don't be afraid to change the plan. Life happens, market conditions change, so make sure your north star is moveable!
(iii) The only thing you get without asking is an infectious disease... so don't be afraid to ask for things!

When you think about this lesson of the week... it should immediately become apparent how true it is. If you can't measure something, and know the results, you can't possibly get better at it.

Thinking about your business, do you know the number of new website visitors it had in the past 30 days? Do you know what percentage of these converted into a paying customer?

It's important to make data driven decisions... so make sure you have data to do so!

Lesson of the week for this week - "Without a strategy, content is just stuff... and the world has enough stuff".

This resonated hugely with me as a lot of companies I've worked with in the past simply post "stuff" on their social channels because they have "stuff" to post, or even worse they waste time creating "stuff" to post because they think they should post "stuff".

Ask yourself if you have a plan or strategy on what and when you post. Will it bring you real business results? If the answer is no, spend time creating a social strategy and then create content that fits into that strategy.
