In 2009, Karen Leigh set up the charity Sensational Kids to help bridge the gap between public and private child development services. 9 years later, over 4,000 children with special educational needs have accessed the services, which are now in greater demand than ever.
Karen joins us now alongside Mum Anna Ovington, and her five-year-old daughter Juliet, who has had speech and language difficulties and benefits from the charity's subsidised services

Easter feaster!

It's nearly Easter Sunday and congratulations to anyone who's given up sweetie things for Lent - the end is in sight. Given that we are all about a chocolate egg in Woman's Way, we asked the lovely people in Lir Chocolates to give us some facts about Easter eggs...

- The first chocolate Easter eggs were gifted in France and Germany at the beginning of the 19th century
- Those first chocolate Eggs were solid chocolate as the technology for moulding hadn’t been developed
- In the early days chocolate Easter eggs were only for the wealthy and wouldn’t have been gifted to children
- Almost 20 million Easter eggs will be sold in Ireland this Easter
- Although Easter eggs are now mass produced and very affordable, some chocolatiers, such as those at Lir Chocolates still take the time to finish each egg by hand, creating edible works of art

We couldn't think of a better way to spend a Friday afternoon than with a glass of prosecco, one of our chocolates and a classic movie. Thanks to our friends at The Stella Theatre in Rathmines, now you can enjoy all three thanks to their 'Afternoon Delights'! We're extremely excited to have teamed up with them so you can enjoy all three, making it the perfect way to round the week off. The first one takes place this Friday, 16th March with Breakfast at Tiffany's. Get your ticket here 👉🏼 https://stellatheatre.ie/
