This piece by WIRED is one of the most thought-provoking articles we have come across recently. The Internet and information is not free. If you 'Google' terms associated with 'conspiracy theory' you will be shown ads for anti-depression medication. Goes on to show how much our every move is being monitored.

The article mentions Yuval Noah Harari who once said, "When you are wearing sensors on your body all the time, such as the GPS and camera on your smartphone and constantly piping data to a megacomputer owned by a corporation that is paid by ‘advertisers’ to subtly manipulate you ... you gradually become less free."

But perhaps Ethical Marketeers can get together to change this narrative for good - as much as possible.

My dad is one of thousands who believe the government is subjecting them to mind control. As a daughter and a journalist, I felt a duty to investigate his claims. Have these individuals been America’s prophets all along?

This is great news! We all need to reduce the use of plastic bottles as much as we can. Here's to hoping this becomes the norm in Dublin as well!

As of today, Londoners can refill their bottles with free tap water at more than 65 businesses and shops, including Costa Coffee, Tate Modern, BFI Imax, Leon and others through our new London Refill scheme to help cut plastic waste.
The average London adult buys more than three plastic water bottles every week - a startling 175 bottles every year per person. In total, some 7.7 billion plastic bottles are bought across the UK each year.
We all need to try harder to cut the excessive use of single-use plastic bottles, cups and cutlery that can end up overflowing our landfill sites and finding their way into our oceans. I hope that even more businesses sign up to this scheme to help Londoners make small but significant steps to drive down plastic waste.
