What are we thinking about the AI posters, people? 😂

Don’t get me wrong AI can be great for collecting your thoughts and bouncing ideas off of but if your whole social media is full of glossy AI posters with random stocky perfect looking people, waaay much text and absolutely zero personality… we can tell.

Especially if you’re a service based business.

Your actual work, your face, your space, your clients, your day to day, that’s the stuff people want to see. It doesn’t have to be perfect it just has to have abit of realness to it. 👏 👏

Let’s not let the robots take over everything just yet 😂

can you tell I joined the library? 🤣

none of these photos were taken for content.

they’re literally just bits of my life from the last couple of weeks in liverpool, somewhere I stopped for coffee, somewhere I worked, lunch, a walk, a building I liked, a random photo I took because it looked nice, joining the library and getting a Liverpool library card… class 😂

but I’ve realised I basically don’t have a normal camera roll anymore 😂

somewhere in the back of my head I’m always thinking… there’s probably a post in that.

and I think that’s the bit a lot of businesses miss.

if you’re an estate agent, it might be the keys in your hand after a viewing.

if you’re a hairdresser, it could be the colour mix sitting on the trolley before anyone even sees the finished hair.

if you run a restaurant, it might be the kitchen before service, the coffee you grab before opening or the dish everyone keeps ordering.

the stuff that feels completely normal to you is often the stuff that makes your business feel more interesting to everyone else.

you probably don’t need hundreds of new photos.

you probably already have loads.

sometimes you just need someone to look at it a little differently 👀

Liverpool obviously has about a million pubs, so I wanted to see what a whole weekend here looked like without going for a pint. Let’s have a look 👀

Thursday started at Blackstock Market for Liverpool Comedy Festival, which was such a good find, loads of different shows on, some completely free and plenty for under £20.

Friday was Camp and Furnace for what can only be described as a Harry Potter quiz on steroids. We went in confident. We left humbled.

Saturday we were back at Blackstock Market to see Wild Irish Women with Fiona O’Mahony | Comedian, Donna Fletcher Comedy & Claire Ro-Che 🇮🇪 and naturally had to go and find out just how wild they actually were.

verdict: pretty wild 😂

Then a wander around town, tapas at Deco Lounge , followed by a 9.40am Spider-Man screening on Sunday with coffee, Maltesers for breakfast and cinema seats that were basically couches.

Finished, obviously, with a Chinese from Marybone Fish & Chips - a Chinese chippy!

Pints are great, but turns out they’re not at all necessary. A pretty good testament to Liverpool, I’d say 😂

if there’s anything weird/wonderful/funny happening around Liverpool that I need to try next, send it my way 👀

the love letter to Liverpool continues… and tbh, I just don’t see it stopping anytime soon x

we moved here knowing very little beyond “Liverpool sounds lovely” and somehow within a few weeks we’ve found ourselves walking everywhere (a lot of that was house hunting, not for the faint-hearted with two cats 😂), chatting away to strangers, loads of who came years ago and never left, being bold and listening to Lewis Capaldi from outside Sefton Park for free (soz Lewis 😂), eating our way through an ever-growing list of restaurants and spending an unreasonable amount of time down at the smexi docks. Completely obsessed.

oh and I’ve discovered I can leave the apartment, walk about 90 seconds and work from the actual Liver Building?? come on 😭

obviously we’re still very much in the honeymoon phase, but so far… Liverpool, you’ve been an absolute dream.

Everyone talks about going viral.

I’d take one genuine recommendation over a million views any day.

Hearing someone say…

“You should message Gabby.”

will always mean more to me than a reel taking off.

So if you’ve ever recommended me, tagged me or shared my page with someone who needed a social media manager, thank you. That’s how this business has grown, and I’m so grateful for it.

I feel like I’ve accidentally disappeared off my own Instagram.

Which is slightly ironic considering I spend all day helping other people show up consistently on theirs. 😂

The last few weeks have been a blur of client work, podcast emails, packing boxes, trying to make the most of our final days in Portugal, and somehow preparing to move to Liverpool… all at the same time.

I also forgot how weird it feels to post after you’ve been quiet for a while. You overthink absolutely everything.

It’s been busy. It’s been chaotic. But honestly, I’m really grateful for it.

This page has always been where I share the behind-the-scenes as much as the polished stuff, so I thought it was about time I checked back in.

The countdown is officially on now… two weeks until we call Liverpool home. ✈️

Looking forward to bringing you along for the next chapter.

Stop posting your properties like they’re on Daft.ie.

Before anyone comes for me, I’m not saying stop posting properties.

Of course you should showcase your listings.

But if every post is:

🏠 Just Listed

🏠 Sale Agreed

🏠 Sold

🏠 Just Listed

you’re giving people very little reason to follow you.

If someone wants to browse houses, they’ll go to Daft or MyHome.

The reason people follow estate agents is because they want something more.

They want local knowledge.

They want to understand what’s happening in the market.

They want advice on buying and selling.

They want to know why one property gets 20 viewing requests while another struggles to get 3.

They want to know what buyers are looking for right now.

And they want to know who they can trust when it’s time to sell.

The agents attracting the most instructions aren’t necessarily posting more properties.

They’re sharing their expertise.

They’re explaining the stories behind the sales.

They’re showing people why they’re the right person to handle one of the biggest financial decisions they’ll ever make.

Daft sells the property.

Instagram helps sell the agent.

If you’d told me when I was studying Business & Marketing that I’d end up spending 6 years in Vietnam, moving to Portugal and running a social media business, I would have laughed in your face 😅

I’m originally from Meath, but I haven’t lived in Ireland since 2019.

I spent 6 years building a career in education in Vietnam, teaching, managing teachers and leading teams in across schools in Hanoi.

At the time, I never thought teaching would be what I’d do forever but I also never imagined it would lead me here.

Looking back, so many of the skills I use now came from those years in education.

Planning, communication, organisation, problem-solving and learning how to connect with all sorts of different people.

The funny thing is, my degree was actually in Business & Marketing.

It just took me a few countries, a teaching career and a big leap of faith to find my way back to it.

Not exactly how I pictured my life.

But I wouldn’t change a thing.

Not everyone wants a big agency or to feel like they’re being passed around between loads of different people before getting an answer 😭

A lot of people I work with just want someone they can send over ideas to, say “I actually haven’t a clue what I want”, and know they don’t need to have everything perfectly figured out before reaching out.

I do probably get a bit too invested in my clients and their businesses if I’m honest 😂 but I think that’s why it works. I care about doing a good job, I care that things actually feel like them, and I care that they’re happy with the work.

No disappearing acts, no awkwardness and no pretending I know absolutely everything. Just someone in your corner who genuinely wants your business to do well.

A client who came to me with zero online presence is now consistently booking enquiries through his content.

This client is a therapist who came to me knowing he needed to show up online but had no idea where to start, honestly my favourite kind of project because we get to build everything properly from scratch.
