All at Tuam Celtic would like to thank all at Tuam & District Mental Health Association (TDMHA) for organising and running a very successful Walking Football 5 aside Tournament at our grounds, to celebrate Men's Health Week. It was a great day, with people of all ages and different parts of the community coming together to socialise and have a bit of fun. There were teams and volunteers representing local businesses, services, organisations, and clubs from the Tuam area, thank you to them all.
Thanks to the Civil Defence for providing free health checks, Ciaran and Irena from Barbell Barbers for providing free hair cuts, Dominic Mc Glinchey of HQ Gym, who provided equipment and organising activities on the day, John Fahy from Eventus for providing a marquee, Fiadh Mc Hugh of Nova Digital for video footage, Ronan Lardner MC, referees Ned Ward and John Mc Elroy, Reapy's Bar for hosting the awards ceremony and Collette Hernon for the teas and coffees.
Also thanks to Bart Gormley, who on behalf of our Club liaises with TDMHA to organise workers through the Community Employment Scheme. Thanks to the lads who look after our grounds, in particular, Andrew Biggins for his work leading up to the event.
A big special thanks to Jaime Maughan for doing the bulk of the work and doing a great job bringing the community of Tuam together ✊.
