Gerry Kenny admiring a bespoke collection of books he bound for a private collector many years ago.

Each volume was individually hand bound in half leather with marbled paper, finished with intricate 22ct gold tooling on the spine.

Seeing the full collection together again is a lovely reminder of the craftsmanship, patience and skill that went into traditional bookbinding at Kenny’s Bindery over the years.

And judging by Gerry’s face, I think he’s still fairly pleased with his handiwork!

It’s always great to see where the projects that come through our bindery end up.

A while back, Richard Naughton came to us with a very different kind of binding project.

Troy took on the tricky job of binding the intricate prototype copy of Those Folks At The Top for Galway-based company Table Topple.

The book is interactive where the reader makes choices that shape the story, all set within the same world Richard is developing for his game, Above Quarry Crater.

So it was brilliant to recently see Richard bringing his idea to Gamescom 2026 - the biggest events in the gaming industry.

We’re delighted Kenny’s Bindery got to play a small part in the early stages.
