No one does it better than Judy Murphy, this week her sit down interview with Grainne Carberry of FoodSpace demonstrates many things but primarily it highlighted that FoodSpace reputation built not on trends, but rather on its practices. The focus is simple: work with what is in season, source locally wherever possible and build menus around vegetables, legumes, whole grains and quality Irish proteins. Use everything; waste nothing.

The drive and passion of Grainne in her role here too jumps out from every word.

Slow it down.

Speeding through our city streets rarely gets you to your destination any faster, but it can have devastating consequences. In busy urban areas, always expect the unexpected, whether that's a child stepping onto the road, a cyclist, a pedestrian, or another road user. By focusing attention on this issue, we hope drivers will become more conscious of their speed, stay alert, and help make our streets safer for everyone.

Residents, businesses and community partners on Munster Avenue and Fr Griffin place in Galway's Westend are calling for greater awareness and respect from drivers following concerns about vehicles speeding through these residential streets!

Big kudos to Claddagh National School for creative posters and art work led by Múinteoirí Gary and Sean.

As part of this project, pupils from Claddagh National School have been involved in designing posters aimed at encouraging drivers to slow down and be mindful of the community they are passing through.
