"SEO and how best to optimize your business online in 2026" was the topic of my presentation this morning for Gorey Business Network in The Hatch Lab.

Lots of interest and question about best practice techniques from using AI to automate the process to content creators for social media, influencers, Tik Tok etc etc

I explained that my 26+ years in the sector have progressed from being a simple "website design" business to "Designing your business for the web". Meaning that its not simply a case of uploading a website and enquiries will flood in, but more about us creating a plan of action to use Internet technology to market and promote themselves, their products or services to to suit their target market and their demographic.

This has been a great 6 years for us and happy to support local businesses and groups get noticed and seen.

After six amazing years, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Gorey Awards. Rising costs and increasing time commitments have made it challenging to continue - but what a journey it’s been!

Over the years, we’ve raised awareness via print, radio, Web and social media of the local businesses, community groups, charities, local heroes, Gorey and North Wexford area itself, along with raising €34,702.60 for local charities including Talk To Tom, Advocates for Autism, Friend Of Gorey District Hospital, Voices of Gorey, SVP, NWSPCA, Courtown Community Council, Gorey Youth Needs, Parents Unite for Respite, Defibs for Gorey, Jack and Jill Gorey, Meals on Wheels.

From everyone involved, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported, sponsored, judged, attended, and believed in this event. You’ve helped make a lasting difference in our community.

Good catch-up this morning in The Hatch Lab in Gorey as each member was able to update us on their current projects, business advice, pensions plans, property deals happening and be available to support each other here in North Wexford.

Congratulation to Arnaud and the team behind La Kav Wines. A company that its been great to work with over the past year and who's dedication and hard work is recognised now by the County Wexford Chamber at their recent Awards nights in Wexford.

Its not easy being a Wine Maker in Ireland, but determination and a bit of sunshine here in the Sunny Southeast help their vines create a magical local wine.

Robbie from PTSB in Gorey doing his 10 minutes presentation this morning for the members in the Gorey Business Network. His knowledge and experience were so evident about company loans for businesses, farmers re-stocking loans that it was a case of sit back and be educated by a master in his craft. Well done Robbie, we learned loads this morning and will endevour to bring you more clients.

Cloud9 server is back up and running after the database issue this morning. We have identified the culprit site that caused the initial issue and then had a knock on affect with neighbouring clients on this shared server.
