A story that started in 1979 — still glowing today.

Back in 2018, Teeling Whiskey captured something special in our workshop:
BL Neon creating a custom Red Neon Phoenix, surrounded by the warm buzz of tubes, transformers, and decades of craft.

In the background, you hear Bernard — telling the story of how he fell in love with neon in 1979, how that spark turned into a lifelong passion, and how he built his own companies with his family by his side.

This video isn’t just about a sign, It’s about legacy, love for the craft, and the people who keep neon alive.

A Dublin landmark, restored to its full glory.

Bringing the Ambassador Theatre sign back to life wasn’t just another project — it was a journey through decades of craftsmanship, architecture, and city history.

This sign has watched over O’Connell Street for generations. It has survived changing eras, neon failures, and the natural wear that comes with age. Restoring it meant slowing down, respecting the original build, and giving every detail the time and precision it deserved.

From carefully dismantling ageing components, to rebuilding the neon, to strengthening the structure behind the façade, our team approached this project with the same pride and patience that went into creating it all those years ago. Every curve of the lettering, every bolt, every glow of red light was brought back with intention.

Standing beneath it now — illuminated against the stone, glowing through the rain — you can feel the history. You can feel Dublin in it.

For us as a family business, projects like this are special. They connect our craft to the city’s story. They remind us why we do what we do.
