Google Search Ads 🧐 The lazy but genius ads platform. This is a joke but it's also kind of TRUE! Why? Because Google search ads will literally show your product/service to people who are already actively looking for what you have to offer! It takes out so many stages of the journey. What is more, Google ads will allow you to pick your own budget and will only charge you when someone clicks on your ad landing on your website. πŸ’Έ

Sounds too good to be true right? Not quite. Someone clicking through on your ads does not necessarily mean you will make a sale from them, BUT it's an excellent first step! A lot of variables go into running a successful Google Ad campaign, especially today when the online space is so competitive. So how can you make sure your ads are successful? Continuously test and optimise your headlines, keywords, ad copy, images, site extensions, landing page experience, audiences and the list goes on. Not to mention updating your ad schedule, negative keyword lists and ads. And also don't forget to spy on competitors' ad spaces and look at your auction insights to see how you are performing against them and find your areas to improve.

Meta Ads πŸ’­ Should you be using them? What objective should I use? How much money should you be spending?
It Depends πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

Its a boring answer but it's the only correct answer. You need to consider what stage your business is at, what are your expectations, how much finances you have to invest and what are you offering. Meta ads CAN be used at any stage of the business BUT different strategies will apply

New business? Use Meta ads to build brand awareness and get people familiar with your brand name. Established business with lots of customers? You can still continue to build brand awareness but you might also consider retargeting ads, and connecting with people who viewed specific pages of your website but did not purchase.

It is important to think about BOTH the long-term and short-term when advertising on Meta. Don't burn all of your budget trying to make quick easy sales. Build an advertising strategy don't just post ads.

Your landing page is the page that you direct traffic to from your advertisements. THIS page will either encourage your audience to make a purchase or lose you the sale.

WHY? When you are advertising, you are paying a lot of money to direct people to this landing page. Without a GREAT landing page, you may be wasting money directing people to your website but not making the sales you hoped for πŸ’Έ

There are a lot of factors to consider when optimising a landing page.

Does it tie in well with the advertisement?
Is it clear and concise?
Is there a clear call to action?
Does it provide all the relevant information?
Is it appealing to look at?
Is it easy to navigate?
Does it load quickly?
Is it easy to make a purchase?

Recent statistics showed that video ads generate 480% more clicks than image ads. But does this mean you should stick to posting video ads? NO!

Why not?

Some audiences will prefer pictures to videos, so it is important to cater for both. A higher click-through rate does not necessarily mean those clicks will convert to sales. πŸ“Ή

ALWAYS split-test your creatives against each other. Use a combination of pictures, videos and carousals and optimise for ads with most conversations πŸ’Έ
