We’re witnessing the slow death of “AI-heavy content.” Hallelujah!!!

Here’s why...

People are becoming overwhelmed by AI.
There’s too much information... too readily available.
“Ultimate guides” are ultimately copied and pasted from AI.
Step-by-step threads are too easily found.
Too many experts are giving away the entire kitchen sink without giving away anything about themselves... at all.

And here’s what I’ve seen happen on my own feed and in my clients over the past year:

The more “information” you cram into a post… the less people seem to engage of late.

Because they:
→ Can get that in 2 seconds on ChatGPT
→ Want connection
→ Crave clarity on what’s happening right NOW
→ Want resonance

And the algorithm rewards content that feels emotionally clear, not content that feels overly educational.

Now, don’t get me wrong. There’s still a place for educational content. In fact, data shows 40% of people will follow you if the content you post is useful. And people will trust you if you come across as an expert from posting that type of content. So And, data-driven headlines are the second most successful headline type... and if the headline is data-driven, likely the content is educational in some way.

So educational content is still essential.

But, what’s shifted and what’s needed in 2026 is replacing “AI-heavy content” with:
✅ Human storytelling
✅ Strong POVs
✅ Emotional truth
✅ Micro-shifts

Woven into how you share your educational content.

Every time my clients and I do this, our content takes off.

So, if visibility is your goal:
Don’t drown your audience in information.
Give them something they can feel, that helps make that information land.

That’s what makes you memorable and valuable to them.

Yep, 92% right here and not from referrals or luck, just clarity.

If LinkedIn feels dead for you, it’s not the algorithm, it’s direction.

Imagine walking into a room full of dream clients…
Then hovering behind a plant, hoping someone notices you.

That’s what a lot of profiles and content are doing right now.

Only 1.8% of users actively promote themselves here.

That means it’s not shark infested waters on the platfrom, it’s a blue ocean.

Yes, you see a lot of content in your feed, but that’s not because people are posting night and day. It’s because the platform presents content to you, to make you stay and scroll.

So the mistake, people then make, is posting less.
But the problem is actually posting without intent.

LinkedIn works when you’re clear on three things:
• What you want the platform to do for your business
• Who you help and why it matters to them
• How you sound when you show up

Visibility on the platform, without direction, is just you hiding at your own party.
Awkward.
And expensive.
And a bit of a waste getting dressed up for nothing!

Get clear.
Then be seen.

When you show up like that, your ideal clients are more likely to stop lurking and start reaching out.

Until then, just remember... A confused mind never buys.
And the opposite of that, it never sells.

Five years ago, I left a stable banking career.

Today, I’m celebrating the best risk I ever took.

I walked away from twenty years in banking.

Redundancy.
Financial stress.
Reinvention.

As they say, if you want to take the island... burn all the boats! So, I let my CPD lapse...

That forced me to bet on myself.
Every roadblock... has been me! 🤪

If you’ve ever felt like you’re “doing everything right” on LinkedIn and still not getting traction… there’s usually a deeper reason. 👀

And it has nothing to do with posting daily, chasing trends, or praying to the algorithm gods. 🙏

It’s this...
Most experts create content.
Very few intentionally create an identity people can instantly recognise.

And when your identity is fuzzy, your visibility becomes fuzzy too.

That’s when you start second-guessing every line you write.
Dialling down your personality.
Editing the humanity and your fab personality out of your own posts.
Sounding more “correct” than compelling.
More professional than personal.

None of that comes from lack of skill regarding what you do...
It comes from trying so hard to “get it right” that you accidentally flatten the thing that makes your brand magnetic in the first place: you. 🫵

But here’s the good news…🤩
Identity isn’t something you magically “find.”
It’s something you create on purpose... through the way you show up, the stories you choose, and the voice you choose to let people hear.

Once that clicks, your content feels different for them...
Your presence sharpens and amplifies, and with it... your confidence. 🙌

Today wasn't a “camera-ready” day!
Total opposite 😂

Honestly, I nearly didn't show up… 🙌

But… this is the exact trap most people fall into with their personal brand, so I thought it’s all the more reason to show up… 💪

Perfect doesn't exist in any form… so constantly being in the pursuit of the “perfect” moment, energy, post or version of you is pointless. That version doesn’t exist. 😳

And the pressure to show up as it is is exactly what’s keeping you invisible.

People don’t connect with logos, brands and absolute perfection but they do connect with people who are present and real and share that “this is me today” tone.

The more you try to sound “right” the more you end up muting the parts of you that people will actually trust.

So if you’ve been hiding behind overthinking, perfectionism or feeling not enough on any random day you’re not alone but you also don’t have to stay there.

You've probably heard that jumping on trends is THE best way to go viral and get new followers…

Going viral doesn't always work the way you expect. You could end up with lots of followers who will NEVER work with you.

What's way better is to:

1️⃣ Share your insights and points of view, in your unique way and explain why you think that way. You then become totally uncopyable.

Sometimes the launch doesn’t land.
And that doesn’t mean you failed.

Earlier this year, one of mine completely tanked.
I’ve done everything right-strategy, messaging, energy during delivery, and still nothing.

For a moment I believed the voice in my head whispering “you’ve lost it. You’re not good enough.”

Here is what the crappy launch taught me… Not every thought is a truth. When I stepped back, looked at the data, and asked why… 80% of people said it wasn’t me. It was timing.

That insight changed everything. It reminded me that emotional thinking kills perspective. And perspective builds profit.

If you’ve had a flop lately, breathe.
Detach. Reflect. Adjust.
You’re not broken. You’re just in the feedback phase.
