🎨🛠️ I’ve spent the last two weeks painting my house and tiling the bathroom… and I’ve learned a lesson!

I probably should have just hired someone who knew what they were doing. 😂

It would have saved me time, effort and probably money too.

Luckily, I had the time to figure it out and get the job done.

But it got me thinking…

Paid advertising is no different.

You can absolutely try to do it yourself, but when you don't know what you're doing, you can lose a LOT of money very quickly. 💸

🚨𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠. I was talking to a customer a few days ago, and he mentioned something called “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡.”👷‍♂️🏖️

I’d never heard the term before, so naturally, I asked what he meant. 🤔

He explained that September can be a quieter period for some trades, so a lot of builders and tradesmen choose this time to take holidays, spend time with their families, and step away from the business for a while. ☀️✈️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Fair enough. Everyone deserves a break. 🙌

The reason we were talking about it was because he was considering turning off his ads for the month. 📉

His thinking was simple:

❌ He’ll be on holiday.
❌ He won’t be available to visit potential customers.
❌ He won’t be able to price jobs.
❌ So there’s no point generating leads.
