Another product from the packaging line created for Budweiser with Branded Food Solutions, while working for Modern Printers.

For this project I started by creating some sample designs for the client to pitch to Budweiser for some potential new products. Budweiser were happy with his proposal and I continued developing the design, while he liaised with their team.

For this project, I had to keep a close eye on the fine details, particularly when moving from the design phase to print phase, as the artwork needed to be prepared for specific print factory keylines. I needed to work quickly to meet some very tight deadlines and follow a strict timeline. Working on such a high value project for a high profile brand added a lot of pressure but it also made it an exciting challenge. The final products were released to major supermarket chains. Staying with packaging, and next up is a project completed for Budweiser with Branded Food Solutions, while working for Modern Printers. Moving away from reports, and next up is a project completed for the Canadian company Secret Barrel Distillery, while working for Jukebox. For this project I created double sided hangtags to be used on their white rum bottles. The logo was provided and I created a custom illustration to pair with it, drawing inspiration from sections of distilling equipment. For the back of the tags I created a clean layout to display some contact info and tasting notes to tie in nicely with the front. While working with the Southern Regional Assembly (SRA) over the years at Modern Printers, I designed several annual reports, corporate plans, strategic plans and most notably, the 'Regional Spatial & Economic Strategy' (RSES) document.

The RSES document was the largest project undertaken for the SRA, with the final document coming to over 300 pages and included a range of custom infographics. The final document was produced as both thread-sewn hardback books and perfect bound soft cover books. This project was completed in stages over a two year period, as the content had to be continually reviewed by a wide variety of people including government agencies, planners, environmental scientists, focus groups and the general public. I was the sole designer working on this project from start to finish, liaising with their admin staff and also their team of planners.

Next up is a booklet designed for the Heritage Council to mark the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage. This was completed while working for Modern Printers. This project was a 56 page booklet, with the first half being through the Irish language and the second half through English. The booklet was finished as a saddle stitch bound book and designed using the brand colours, and imagery provided.

Next up is a booklet designed for the HSE Resist team while working for Modern Printers. This project was a 36 page guidance booklet, finished as a saddle stitch bound book. All charts and forms were updated and customized in brand colours, and stock imagery was chosen to suit the subject of the booklet, while also following the HSE's imagery guidelines.

Reports - A closer look! Next up is a selection of annual reports designed over the years for the Southern Regional Assembly while working for Modern Printers. These reports averaged at about 90 pages, with an additional 90 pages showing the report through the Irish language when the book is flipped over to the back. The reports were finished as perfect bound books, with custom infographics in brand colours, and stock imagery chosen to suit the branding.

Reports - A closer look! The first example is a report designed for Kilkenny County Council while working for Modern Printers. This project was a 108 page annual report, finished as a perfect bound book, using a black and amber colour scheme throughout to represent the county, with matching graphics and charts.
