Maverick Book Review | Pretty Much Everything by Aaron Draplin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
'Pretty Much Everything' is a Maverick studio favourite. This mid-career retrospective of graphic designer Aaron Draplin of DDC is brimming with countless examples of his influential work, ranging from logo designs to snowboard graphics, and insights into Draplin's unruly career path.
The author, known for his punk do-it yourself work ethic, is the graphic designer behind branding for everything from Ford, Esquire, Nike, Burton, and even The Obama Administration. Appropriately enough, the book itself is impeccably designed and beautiful to look at. Not only is 'Pretty Much Everything' a unique chance to look behind the scenes into how a successful designer works it's also packed with valuable lessons learnt from a variety of commissions and clients.
As designer autobiographies go, this is as intimate as it gets!
