Some fabulous news this week… South West Social has made the finals of the Connect Kerry Women in Business Awards! ✨

I have struggled with a little guilt lately about going back to work so early after having my baby, but that’s the reality of being a self-employed Mam.

There have definitely been days where I’ve wanted to stop, slow down or question if I’m doing the right thing, but this finalist badge feels like a lovely reminder that even on the more hectic days, keeping going is worth it!

Ending 2025 on a really positive note with the launch of my new limited company, Riley Social Media Ltd!

I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported South West Social over the past three years. To have the trust and encouragement from all my clients means the world.

Moving from sole trader to company director feels like a huge milestone for me, and one I genuinely never thought I’d reach when I first started out.

Going limited allows me to grow South West Social and take it to the next stage, and I’m really excited about what’s ahead.

A busy but festive few weeks capturing the last of this year's content for clients!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing everything from turkey and ham to cosy pints of Guinness, mulled wine, mince pies, Christmas desserts and more.

It’s an incredibly hectic time of year, but I’m so excited to be capturing these final festive moments for clients before everything wraps up.

A little reminder that my books are now officially closed as I get ready to go on maternity leave in the new year.

Reflecting on six months work with client Inch Beach House B&B. South West Social signed Inch Beach House in May 2025 and has seen fantastic growth on Facebook since our work began.

Results include:

👀 1.8 million organic views on our reels and video
🌐 Nearly 75,000 views to the website from social media
🧑‍💻 An increase of 7,600 followers to the page
💬 Over 20,000 likes, comments and shares

These results are a reflection of a strong content strategy paired with intentional, well-executed content days.

From the start, our goal wasn’t just to capture “Instagram-perfect” sunny days — it was to tell a story that felt real all year round. Each content day was planned with purpose, showcasing Inch Beach in every light: wild stormy walks, cosy cottage moments, and golden summer evenings.

By leaning into the seasons and creating consistent, high-quality visuals, we built an authentic connection with the audience — and the results speak for themselves.

I am delighted to share that South West Social is now a proud member of the Tralee Chamber Alliance.

Since launching the business, Tralee — and Kerry as a whole — has welcomed South West Social with open arms. I’ve had the privilege of working with so many fantastic Tralee businesses, and I’m proud to currently partner with The James Hotel, Bathrooms4U, Crean McCann Property, Buttermilk Café, Daddy Long Legs, and O’Carroll’s Bridge Lane Bar.

Becoming part of the Tralee Chamber Alliance feels like a natural next step in continuing to support and champion the incredible business community we have here.
