Studio93 has been shortlisted in the “Reinvention with Attitude” category at the Irish Micro Business Awards 2026.

This one feels very fitting.

Studio93 is now over 20 years in business, and the biggest change over that time has been learning to specialise.

For a long time, there is pressure in a creative business to stay broad, say yes to everything and keep every door open.

But the real shift for Studio93 came from letting go of that fear and becoming laser-focused on one thing: video.

That focus has made the business clearer, stronger and more valuable to clients.

For me, reinvention is not about doing more.

It is about having the confidence to go deep rather than wide.

Thanks to the Irish Micro Business Awards for the recognition, and to everyone who has been part of the Studio93 story over the last 20 years.

I’ve been putting off writing this post for weeks.

Not because I didn’t want to. Because I didn’t know what to say. Or even why.

Twenty years in business sounds significant. And I suppose it is. But from my perspective it feels like a trailer for a movie I didn’t realise I was making - if that makes any sense !?

There was a fire. There was (multiple) burnout. There was feast and famine and the odd night wondering why I didn’t just go work for someone else.

After the fire there were clients who stayed when they didn’t have to. Days where the work was genuinely great and projects that almost broke me. A business that looks nothing like the one I started and is better for it.

I’m still figuring it out. Twenty years in. That part surprised me.

But here we are.
Studio93. Est. March 2006. Apparently still in business.

Robin, Dylan and Luke - also known as The Minions.

Zero experience.
Questionable discipline.
Easily distracted by sweets and floats.
But somehow… we got the job done 😂

They kept morale high, chaos higher, and made sure I didn’t take myself too seriously for a second.

Would I hire them again?
Absolutely.

Would I pay them?
Let’s not get carried away.

Great energy in Moate yesterday ☘️

Brilliant to be out capturing the St. Patrick’s Day parade – from the colour and creativity of the floats to the smiles along the streets, it’s days like this that remind you what community is all about.

3 weeks since our hugely successful Lip Sync fundraiser and we are so grateful to everyone who supported helping us to hit €70,000!! This will help the ongoing work for our dressing room complex. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We know this has been a full on few months, but we do it for the kids who get to enjoy a Sunday morning in the muck, for the young girls and boys who are gaining confidence and having fun, and the senior men and women, representing the club and inspiring the younger Warriors. Soon enough and further into the future, all of the wider community will get to enjoy the benefits - those who bring kids to matches or volunteer on the sidelines, those who love rugby and to those who enjoy a walk - there will be a place for everyone at The Bawnoges “The Home of Community Spirit”

Congratulations again to Templelicious who won the €1000 prize and generously donated it back to the club. 👏🏼

As part of Studio93’s 20-year anniversary in 2026, we wanted to give something back locally and support a kids’ team doing brilliant things at grassroots level.

Delighted to see the U9 Temple Villa Blacks out there representing - and flying the Studio93 logo with such energy, smiles and pure enjoyment of the game. A fantastic bunch of lads with great team spirit.

And listen… no pressure boys but we’re already looking forward to getting the championship photo with ye when the time comes 😉
