September is a busy month in the vegetable garden, with many crops still producing well despite the cooler temperatures.

Tomatoes can continue to ripen into September, but as temperatures and daylight decrease, growth will gradually slow.

Keep plants supported, remove yellowing leaves, and pick ripe fruit regularly to encourage the remaining tomatoes to develop.
