A warm welcome to our new Drawing class!

It’s lovely to get this year’s art and design class underway, with everyone settling in and getting to know each other through drawing.

We’ve started with the fundamentals of drawing, exploring line, shape, observation, proportion, tone and shading through a series of practical exercises.

It’s been a great start, with lots of enthusiasm, experimentation and plenty of work already beginning to take shape.

Looking forward to seeing how everyone’s drawing develops over the coming weeks!

A huge congratulations to Scott Sheridan on his recent exhibition ‘From One Breath to the Next’, at ATU Galway, following the completion of his MA in Creative Practice.

Scott completed his QQI Level 5 Art & Design and Digital Marketing with us in Airglooney FET, so it’s really lovely to see how his creative journey has continued and developed since then.

Well done, Scott! We’re delighted to see all your hard work paying off. Wishing you every success for what comes next!

What a wonderful evening celebrating the opening of our Sonder: End of Year Art & Design Exhibition.

It was fantastic to see so many people come together to support and celebrate the creativity, dedication and achievements of our learners. Every piece on display represents months of hard work, learning and personal growth, and we couldn't be prouder of what they have accomplished.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the opening night and helped make it such a special occasion. Congratulations to all of our talented learners – your creativity and commitment truly shone through.

We had a full house yesterday morning for our felting workshop. A sincere thank you to our Art and Design students, Corina Hogan and Patricia Conroy, both accomplished felt artists, for leading the session. We greatly appreciate their generosity in providing all the materials and sharing their expertise and knowledge with participants.

Corina and Patricia are also available to facilitate felting workshops in the community, bringing their creativity and experience to groups of all ages and abilities. They can be contacted directly for enquiries about workshops and bookings.
