What a lovely evening we had at the opening of Sonder yesterday evening. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the exhibition. It was so lovely meeting everyone’s families and friends. We were delighted with the huge turnout and the warm response to the work.

A special thank you to everyone who spoke on the evening. Your thoughtful words made the occasion even more memorable.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the opening such a success. Thank you all, and we look forward to welcoming more visitors to Sonder over the coming days.

We’re excited to open our End of Year Art & Design Exhibition 2026 – Sonder.

A huge thank you to Corina Hogan and Patricia Conroy, learners on our QQI Level 5 Art & Design course.

Corina and Patricia are accomplished felters who recently exhibited their beautiful work at the Felt Makers Ireland Show as part of the group exhibition Water and Flow at the Visitors Centre, Phoenix Park, Dublin.

Most recently, they generously facilitated a hands on workshop for their classmates, sharing their expertise in both dry and wet felting techniques – even the teacher joined in! Their generosity with both information and materials created a lovely relaxed learning experience for everyone involved.

Corina is also the author of Easy to Follow Guide to Needle Felting, well worth checking out for anyone interested in this wonderful craft.

We would also like to thank Corina and Patricia for offering a felting workshop as part of the upcoming exhibition. The workshop is now fully booked, reflecting the interest in this old traditional craft..

For those who missed out, Corina and Patricia are available to facilitate workshops with community groups and will be present throughout the three days of the exhibition. Anyone interested in learning more about workshops is very welcome to speak with them during the exhibition.

Sonder: Our end of year Art & Design Exhibition

The excitement is officially building! If you happened to look into the library in Tuam this morning, you probably saw Mike and Lorraine busy setting up our pop-up stand, helping us spread the word.

Please come and join us for the opening ceremony. Let’s come together as a community, share some light refreshments, and celebrate the talent and hard work our learners have poured into the course this year.

Whether you are a proud family member, a supportive friend, or a neighbour from over the road, please pop in.

Took advantage of the beautiful weather this morning and headed down by the Clare River in Tuam for a lovely eco art session. Nothing better than getting creative outdoors and using nature as inspiration.
