New Child & Family Support Service Launching in Rathnew & Arklow – January 2026
Feeling stuck waiting on supports for your child? You’re not alone.
Many parents we speak to are trying to get help for their child — whether it’s anxiety, big emotions, ADHD traits, or school difficulties — and they’re told:
⛔️ “You don’t meet the CAMHS threshold.”
⛔️ “The waiting list is over a year.”
⛔️ “There’s nowhere to refer you right now.”
It’s frustrating and isolating — especially when you know your child needs support now.
That’s why from January 2026, we are opening a new Child & Family Wellbeing Service in Rathnew & Arklow, Wicklow — designed for families who need clear guidance, early support, and someone to actually listen.
This is not about labels or diagnosis — it’s about understanding your child, building a plan, and supporting both children and caregivers through early challenges.
What will be available in Rathnew & Arklow:
✔️ Emotional and behavioural screeners (e.g. SDQ, Spence Anxiety Scale)
✔️ Child-centred support plans to guide home and school strategies
✔️ Strengths-based reports for schools, GPs, or educational planning
✔️ 1:1 support for children with anxiety, low confidence, or big feelings
✔️ 1:1 support for parents and caregivers feeling overwhelmed or anxious
✔️ Coaching around emotional regulation, ADHD traits, and resilience
📣We will also be integrating Occupational Therapy support into the building to offer joined-up care for sensory processing, motor planning, and functional development.📣
This is just the beginning — further services and specialist supports will be added as part of our ongoing expansion throughout 2026.

Sessions are evidence-informed, trauma-aware, and held in confidence. We are Garda vetted, insured, and work under clinical supervision. Registered members of numerous accreditation bodies for psychotherapy, OT & psychology.
