הסדנא החיפאית להדפס אמנותי הוקמה ב- 1960 על ידי אוסקר שפינר, מהחלוצים של ענף דפוס המשי בישראל. כתלמידו של פרופ' פ.ק. הניך ובעידודו, הוא התמחה באירופה בכל ענפי הדפוס האמנותי ובעיקר בתחריט ודפוס רשת.
ב- 1970, שושנה הצטרפה לסדנא ויחד הקימו סטודיו לאמנות ההדפס משוכלל ומקצועי, שהתמחה בדפוס משי קלאסי באיכות מוזיאלית.
כל הדפסי הסדנא מבוצעים בטכניקה קלאסית טהורה, ללא מעורבות של אמצעים ממוחשבים כגון לית
וגרפית-אופסט או ז'יקלה.
הסטודיו פועל בשני מישורים: הוצאה לאור וסדנת לימוד.
במשך השנים, שושנה ואוסקר הוציאו לאור עשרות סדרות מוגבלות וחתומות של הדפסים מקוריים (סריגראפים) עבור מיטב ציירי ישראל וחו"ל.
ניתן לראות אותם בגלריות, במוזיאונים ובאוספים פרטיים.
דפוס הרשת מאפשר יצירה על כל חומר שטוח. מלבד הדפסה על נייר איכותי עבה ונטול חומצה, בוצעו יצירות גם על בדים שונים ,על עץ, מתכת, זכוכית ,קרמיקה ופלסטיק בגדלים שונים עד גובה 10 ס"מ וגודל 90X150 ס"מ.
המקצוענות, השאיפה למצוינות, לדיוק והקפדה, מתבטאת באופן מיוחד בהדפסת "מיניאטורות" רב-גוניות המיועדות למדליות, מדליונים וספרי שירה מיוחדים עבור אספנים.
בסדנאות הלימוד ניתנת הכשרה ללמוד מקצוע המאפשר להשתלב בתעשייה, או כענף יצירה באמנות הפלסטית.
סדנאות הלימוד מתקיימות ברמות שונות:
סדנאות חד-יומיות לחוויה והכרת הנושא;
סדנאות מתמשכות למתחילים;
סדנאות למתמקצעים או אמנים המעוניינים בהדרכה ושרותי סדנא.
אולם התצוגה של הסדנא משמש כגלריה בה ניתן לראות ולרכוש הדפסים של אמנים שעבדו במקום ומייצגים את התקופות השונות באמנות הישראלית:

Oscar Shpinner was one of the pioneers of silk printing in Israel. Impressed by his teacher's work, Oscar developed his skills and took the opportunity to study in France, Germany and
Switzerland. He specialized in Etching, Wood cut and Silk Screen and brought his knowledge of the new tools and materials to Israel
Shoshana joined the atelier in 1970. She has brought with her a new artistic poind of view,new skills, and her educational vision
Together, two masters of print striving for perfection; they have developed
Oscar Haifa Art Printers" as a modern highly professional and equipped atelier
They worked jointly with the painters to accomplish every challenge, and create original signed and numbered works of art
Each one of Oscar prints is created in the clssical traditional method
No Offset by-pass, or a computerized print (like Giclee) is ever used. when required, the artist integrate classical techniques of etching or engraving in the serigraphs
Limited series of Original Serigraphs are produced for artists, galleries and museums in Israel and abroad
Shoshana's capabilities and her desire for excellence are expressed especially in printing multi-layers colors on Miniatur Prints, Medals and poetry books
The atelier showroom functions as a gallery, while the studio has become a center for exposing young school students to the world of art
Haifa Art Printers offers classes and workshops in various levels to learn the art of silkscreen technique. Courses are designed for beginners or experienced amateurs
The visitors enjoy a manifold collection of prints from limited editions signed by great painters who collaborated with the studio's masters
