It seems I'm using AI a lot more than I imagined, and somehow learning new methods over time.

I mean, AI has its weird (Video results are weirder than static image results, and good LORD does AI hallucinate facts while stating them with absolute certainty...)

But am I worried it's gonna take my job? NOPE.

Digital design platforms didn't. The .com boom didn't. And Canva didn't.

They all turned out to be tools that designers had to learn, embrace and use on a daily basis.

AI may be changing HOW we design, but it's not changing the fact that we DO get to design.

And it means I never have to tell a client "no you can't just 'turn the person around' in photoshop" ever again.

Branding and cleaning for Passover have a weird crossover: renewal through a lottttt of soul-searching cleaning!

But if you're here to read this carousel, you're not cooking enough.

Or you're one of the lucky ones lucky that only have to to find some chocolate eggs in the yard and call it a day.

Or your April Fool's prank on your boyfriend went horribly wrong.

Whichever way you are commemorating this week, think deep, because it's your time to shine anew!

Wartime memories. This started during the last dramatc lockdown and it's still one of my favorites.

Inspired by leather tomes, academic excellence, vellum torah scrolls, and the motion of ever-evolving thought.

Major Jewish organizations out of Canada seem to be my jam these days. I'm here for it.

It is uncomfortable to find that my own internal brand identity has suddenly hit an unyielding blocade.

Living in Israel right now means that my daily reality is defined entirely by avoiding anything that is not my house, due to the *very real* threat of cluster warheads and missile barrages aimed at me and mine.

The days have started to bleed into one another in a way I’ve never experienced, creating a total lack of direction and creativity that feels completely foreign to me. It's like the part of my brain that handles the visual language of my life has just been replaced by a static-filled screen.

And it isn’t just the immediate danger that's causing this fog. (TBH many have been experiencing much worse.)

More than cluster warheads, it's the crushing weight of the abhorrently misguided international vitriol aimed at my little state and the equally miniscule global Jewish population that's breaking me. I just want to shout to the world that "what you THINK is going on and what is ACTUALLY going on are two VERY DIFFERENT things." (Because, *of course* that would instantly make The Whole World suddenly get it.)

I don’t know how long this conflict will last, when the Persians will finally be free again, or when my favorite country will finally be left in peace. But right now, I’m just trying to navigate the fog.

So if your own professional drive feels like it’s been sidelined by things far beyond your control, please know you aren’t alone. I myself have received the same support, and it has helped me - a little bit - to get through the days, without feeling like an absolute design fail.

Tomorrow night is Purim. Celebrating a(nother) thwarted Jewish genocide. One which was documented 2500 years ago and almost took place across *Iran* and the entire Persian empire. Your iron age textbook lesson is our family story that keeps repeating for us.

Tomorrow we'll celebrate, be with family, hopefully in costume, and run to shelters, praying for our and our loved ones' safety, as we eagerly await the end of the regime that is terrorizing the world.

Yes, this is our crazy life right now: joy and fear in the same breath. Persia then, Iran now.

And yet, in the middle of all of it, I keep showing up for my work, because building something meaningful doesn't wait for perfect conditions.

If your business is ready to rebrand and step into a clearer identity, my inbox is always open.

I know "story" and "storybrand" have been out there for a while.

But can I be honest for a sec? I. have. no. idea. what. that. means.

Are all businesses positioning themselves as Karen the Dragon Slayer? Is every business meant to have a sequential storyline that conveys how they uniquely save the user? My users come to me for X and I use Y superpower to create Z effect.

How does that give me ANY clues about what your brand should look like?

Instead, all I do is get in touch with YOUR clients' feelings. This weird thing happens when you simply look: many of them say *the same thing* about how they feel after working with you. They'll even use the same word. It's kinda meta.

My job is to then translate that feeling into a visual language that expresses it.

Voila.

No dragon slayers need apply.

This one is personal.

It was an absolute privilege to be able to work with Shoshanna Keats Jaskoll on the Women of Iron project. It was an even bigger privilege to attend the event itself.

These were 18 of the women who defended, rescued, healed, solved, shared and generally kept our nation going through this moment in history, and I was lucky enough to be part of a movement to publicly appreciate their actions.

There were a lot of parameters to this logo. It had to mesh with its parent brands (Chichmat and the Laura Ben David Jewish Life Photo Bank.) It had to stand on its own. It had to serve as the foundation for a beautiful custom award (by Micol Bayer). It had to have versions in English, Hebrew, singular and plural. And it had to be print-ready for event graphics in an extremely short timeframe.

Most importantly, it had to convey the true nature of these womens' heroism: the consequences of actions that they considered obvious -- or simply responsible -- have radiated outwards, protecting an entire nation in its time of need.
