🌟 Excited to share a project close to my heart—the new website for Ran Matoki, THE master in strategic finance 🚀

Creating this website was a journey of creativity and technical skill, blending design with effective communication. From the initial brief to the final launch, every step was guided by a single goal: to create a website that mirrors Ran’s professionalism, experience and expertise.

I poured love into every detail, utilizing Webflow, JavaScript, AI, Creative writing, and Imagination.

This site is designed to serve a diverse audience, offering a minimalistic yet informative experience that showcases real success stories through testimonials, simplifies intricate services, and ultimately, sets a new standard in the finance industry’s web presence.

I’m not a fan of static brand books. 📚

Brands breathe, grow, and evolve. They are not meant to be confined within the pages of a brand book.
At Deskiter Studio, our role is to nurture the brand guidelines we create, allowing space for evolution and adaptation as they interact with the world around them.

Why?
1. Dynamic Content: A fixed brand book can limit its natural progression.
2. Evolving Messaging: A brand book fixed in time can’t accommodate its necessary pivots.
3. Cultural Shifts: What was relevant yesterday may not be tomorrow.

I often hear from fellow designers that they work hard to create detailed brand guidelines for businesses, only to be surprised when other designers later “ruin” their work.
This situation makes me wonder if these guidelines are only useful for the business’s current needs, or if they’re flexible enough for future designers to use effectively. Brands change as they meet new people and enter new markets, and their messages need to evolve to keep up with new trends and insights. A static brand book can restrict this growth.

So, brand guidelines have to be adaptable to future changes and challenges.
Let’s design branding that breathes life into the businesses we cherish. Let’s create brands that are as alive as the people behind them.

Every creative journey for a brand starts with sketches.

You might imagine a pencil and a notebook (and sometimes it indeed looks like that!), but most of the time, digital letters fly across the screen, landscapes from tropical countries are pasted into the mood board to add color and life, and all of this lies next to a well-written, beautiful brief that precisely describes THE MISSION AND VISION. 🌸

4 Things I learned along the way as a freelance brand and web designer 🎨👩‍💻

1. Nothing can replace a meeting about the client’s vision. 🤝 You can collect thousands of great references, but it’s only when you meet the people you design for, show them the vibe, and discuss it, that they’ll share some things they liked too and speak about that. Only then will you realize what they meant when they said, “we want something stunning with a techy environment”. 💡✨

2. Don’t tell your client which of the versions you prefer: if you created something, stand behind it, and let them feel what they prefer and connect to. Even if it’s not your natural decision. 🚫👍

3. Learn how your clients think. You can be very responsive and collect “comments” from your clients. But most of them don’t understand design. 🎨🤷‍♀️ So, don’t take every comment at face value; think about why they mentioned this change - what’s disturbing them. Sometimes, it isn’t about the design at all, but something technical. 🔧💬

4. Focus on the current mission. As a brand and web designer, I bring comprehensive value to businesses. It means I can elevate their company with design and bring value that translates to money eventually. 💼💸 Having said that, I can’t solve all their problems or become their VP of marketing, product, and content. We must work together as a team - otherwise, it would be my startup, not theirs. 🤝🌟
