Thank you Enrique Rubio for introducing me to these incredibly conscious and open-hearted leaders!
We came from all over but discovered a Canadian connection! 🍁
Tanal Basma did an amazing job hosting our panel and it's clear to see that she really cares about making things better. Super interesting that she's been working remotely for 10 years (!) I was joining from Israel and she is head of People & Culture for a Muslim crowdfunding site LaunchGood, but that didn't stop us from getting the most out of this connection.
Amy A. Anger is an attorney with a huge ❤️ So not what you'd expect from a leader in that sector. I loved the way she said - "If you genuinely care for your people, remote highlighted it." She is the Vice President & General Counsel of Stefanini North America and APAC - a global IT outsourcing company. She spoke about how important it is for leaders to be transparent at all times - even when they don't have all the answers. Because if there's a void - the employees will fill it themselves, and it will probably be wrong. So it's really ok for leaders to not have all the answers.
It's a good thing I was looking at the wrong Nigel Miller profile when prepping for this panel because the Nigel who participated is a really big deal at Edelman - a company that does great things. Other little facts in his background include being VP HR at Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. 🤦♀️and VP Global People at Anheuser-Busch InBev 🤦♀️You wouldn't know what a big deal he is when meeting him, which is really really cool. He shared some great insights about who stepped up when things got crazy during the pandemic.
Long story short - this session is packed with goodies for HR's and you'll see it all in March when the conference goes live.
