Today, PearlCom CEO, Caty Pearl led a strategic storytelling session in partnership with MCI - MedTech Commercialization Institute and 8400 The Health Network. Caty shared insights with over 100 MedTech leaders on positioning, differentiation, and scaling through effective communications.

Drawing from our experience with over 100 clients, including two recent successful exits of long-term clients, we broke down the essential pillars of preparing effective marketing materials:

During Heart Health Month, our focus on heart care extends beyond Valentine's Day. Working closely with our client Append Medical, their procedure of inverting and securing the Left Atrial Appendage inspired our design approach. The logo integrates this medical breakthrough into the letter 'P', showing how their system inverts and secures the LAA tissue - transforming a complex cardiac procedure into a simple, recognizable symbol that represents their natural tissue solution.

In a field where millions worldwide suffer from Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation (NVAF) and face a 5x higher stroke risk, we saw an opportunity to communicate hope through design. The Append system transforms stroke prevention with sophisticated vacuum technology that works with the heart's native tissue - no implant required.

Unlike traditional solutions that require implants and carry inherent PDL and DRT risks, Append's approach of securing tissue naturally eliminates both Device Related Thromboembolism (which can increase stroke risk 5-fold) and Peri Device Leakage risks (known to double stroke risk).

The brand promise of 'LAA naturally secured' isn't just a tagline - it's reflected in every aspect of their identity, from their procedure-inspired logo to their brand strategy. By working with the heart's natural tissue, Append disrupts the LAA occlusion market and brings new hope to cardiac care.

Our branding work for Kidron Capital Assets LP reflects their vision for women's health investments. The visual identity features a lens motif in rich magenta, symbolizing their comprehensive view through the lens of women's health across a variety of conditions.

Our scientific and design teams developed branding that articulates Kidron's investment thesis - identifying and advancing breakthrough technologies that address critical gaps in women's healthcare, from female-specific conditions to broader health issues that affect women differently.
