Gucci Garden Archetypes was a multi-sensory exhibition that offered a truly immersive experience showcasing the creative vision of the fashion house Gucci, under the direction of Alessandro Michele. After launching in Florence in 2021, it toured Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo before coming to Sydney. The exhibition combined various elements such as garments, accessories, sets, props, dynamic lighting, and sound to create an engaging and visually stunning environment.
This exhibition, which had its Australian premiere, took us on a journey through Gucci's iconic advertising campaigns. By delving into the world of Gucci Garden Archetypes, we could experience the distinct aesthetic and style that Gucci is known for. The exhibition captured the essence of Gucci's designs and campaigns, presenting them in a larger-than-life and extravagant manner.
Through this immersive experience, Gucci Garden Archetypes highlighted how the fashion house had influenced and shaped contemporary visual culture.
