Privileged to contribute as a Trainer for a session on Documentation at the Special Training Programme for Counsellors of Police Station Based Support Centres (Mahila Sahayata Kendra). It was organised by the Gender Resource Centre and Directorate of Women Wing, WCD Department - Government of Gujarat, in collaboration with NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

This capacity building initiative brought together 80 dedicated counsellors working on the frontlines of women's support services, with a shared mission to strengthen assistance for women in vulnerable situations.

A critical insight from our session: Clear, precise, and systematic documentation isn't merely administrative, it's the bedrock of legal clarity, victim advocacy, and sustained accountability. When counsellors document with intention and care, they amplify the voices of those seeking help and create tangible pathways to justice.

What struck me most was the genuine commitment in the room. A collective dedication to fostering respect, equity, and meaningful support for women in need. The energy and questions reflected counsellors who truly understand the weight of their work.

Gratitude to WCD Gujarat and the entire organising team for creating such a thoughtfully designed and impactful programme. Together, we're strengthening the systems that matter most, those that protect and empower.

Looking back at a moment that shaped me, circa 2002.
When I received the Best Writing Award for Communal Peace in Gujarat, it wasn't just recognition, it was a mirror reflecting my journey in the non-profit sector. Working with real communities taught me that peace isn't abstract, it's built in conversations, conflicts resolved, and connections honored.
A training in Pune changed everything for me. It showed me that writing isn't just my voice, it's a bridge. A tool to turn understanding into dialogue, silence into awareness.
This award reminds me why I do this work: because words matter, communities matter, and the choice to protect instead of destroy always matters.
Grateful for this recognition and the opportunity to be part of
something bigger than myself.

From script to screen to real change, we witnessed something extraordinary in Gujarat's remotest villages.
Families transforming their relationship with water and sanitation. Communities reclaiming their health and dignity. We produced every frame, but community wrote the real story.
This work humbled us. Inspired us. Reminded us why storytelling matters.

Pleased to have delivered an expert session on 'Effective IEC/BCC Plan' at the Capacity Building Training Program on Swachhata Parameters, which brought together dedicated sanitary inspectors, municipal officers, and consultants from urban local bodies, with the esteemed presence of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation, organized by the All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG).
Key Focus Areas Covered were the 4R Concepts - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover building a circular economy mindset, Storage and segregation at source -the foundation of effective waste management, fostering civic sense for maintaining cleanliness in our localities, motivating citizens to embrace and own their civic responsibilities and Building community buy-in to eliminate unscientific solid waste disposal practices
I firmly believe that sustainable waste management is not just an administrative responsibility, it's a collective commitment. When our communities understand the "why" behind these initiatives, transformation becomes inevitable.

Coastal Security begins with Empowered Fishing Communities!
At Dalga Communications, we are proud to have designed and implemented a pan-Gujarat Fisherman Awareness and Behaviour Change Campaign across the state’s 2,340 km coastline.
Our objective was simple yet impactful, equip fishing communities with the knowledge and tools needed for safer seas and stronger coastal vigilance.
Through vernacular, easy-to-understand communication, the campaign reached fishermen using multiple platforms, from community radio and animation films to direct on-ground engagement.
This initiative demonstrates how strategic communication and community participation can strengthen national security while protecting livelihoods and coastal boundaries.

Not everything we do is about business, and we love that.
Recently, as a design agency, we had the joy of designing and printing a Mandala colouring book for a 12th grader, Mairaa Patel. Every mandala in this book is digitally hand-drawn by the young creator, inspired by a love for art, the human mind, and a grandmother whose quiet joy in colouring showed how creativity can bring calm and presence.
Each illustration represents balance and wholeness, inviting you to slow down, reflect, and reconnect in a fast-moving world. The book also includes a simple guide linking colours to emotions, so every shade becomes a mirror of how you feel.
This project reminded us why we design.
To give meaningful ideas a tangible form.
Because sometimes, design isn’t about brands—it’s about healing, expression, and heart.
