In the crowded Beauty & Personal Care category, blending in is the fastest way to burn ad dollars.

For Laurel Bathhouse, we built a positioning-led messaging strategy paired with a Shopify UI design optimised for conversions, ensuring the brand stood out with differentiated design aesthetics and clarity of narrative.

The result? A 229% increase in conversion rates. Without increasing ad spend, their ROI on paid advertising scaled significantly.

Because before any growth marketing push, it’s imperative to lock in brand positioning, compelling messaging, and CRO-driven design. We just proved why.

Most brands chase ROAS (Return on Ad Spends) like it’s the only thing that matters.

But here’s the truth: ROAS ≠ Brand Health.

It tells you how much revenue you made from your ads but only in the short term.

The problem?

You might be making sales…
But losing brand recall, emotional connect, and long-term loyalty.

Strong brands play a different game. They don’t just sell.

They balance performance with brand building, always.

They build emotional connection.

They drive recall.

They stay memorable and profitable.

Even if it means little lower ROAS today, they win big tomorrow.

Don’t just chase conversions. Build connection too.

That’s how brands grow and last.

Not just listings. A brand story.

For Saigondan Coffee, we transformed their Amazon.com store into a D2C-style experience, showcasing origins, building differentiation, and fueling sales.

Because growth isn’t just about being seen, it’s about being remembered.

That’s brand-led ecommerce growth, the ThinkWhy way.

Reminiscing back when we won this without being actually emphasising much on winning trophies at all.

Winning goals and objectives of the brands we work with matters much more to us than winning trophies.

But yeah, we won this a little back and completely missed sharing with you all.

In a world where attention is fleeting, brands that master the art of creative communication don’t just survive—they thrive!

We thank Prof. Amar Gargesh for such an insightful session on Creativity & Branding Tools & Techniques on the 9th Anniversary of ThinkWhy.

We learnt about brand building, the importance of setting high standards for ourselves and others in the team, and believing in our work to produce top notch quality work.

Key takeaway from the session was, brand building is everywhere around us. We are as humans nothing less than a living brand, each one having unique attributes and stories.

Team ThinkWhy wishes you Happy Diwali & a Happy eCommerce Season 🪔✨

Ps. For Non-eCommerce people, ACOS is Advertising Cost of Sale and ROAS is Return on Ad Spends. 😅

The ThinkWhy Story.

We are a purpose-driven strategic marketing & design company that focuses on digital platforms to create brand experiences that drive business growth. We have a new-age marketing communication and design-led team of open-minded and ever curious beings. We create experiences on digital platforms that transform brands, make people’s lives better and grow businesses. We always think ‘Why’ first.

Being meaningfully different.

Why do we think ‘Why’? Why is this the way it is? Why do we do it this way?

Asking “why” will help you better understand the beliefs or rules behind previous decisions, the way you work now, and the way you look at the world. This question will flip your curiosity inward, so that you can stretch the way you think. (Example: People won’t get into a car with a stranger. Why? We’re suspicious of strangers.)
