Instagram is giving its decade-old wordmark a fresh new look, and itโ€™s definitely getting people talking. ๐Ÿ‘€

After nearly 10 years, the Meta-owned platform has redesigned the wordmark at the top of the app. Instagram head Adam Mosseri says the update is meant to feel โ€œcleaner and more modern" while still taking inspiration from the original design.

But is it really cleaner? ๐Ÿค”

The new wordmark blends a simple, printed typeface with a few cursive-inspired letters, creating a look that feels quite different and, for some, a little harder to read.
