We are deeply honoured to announce that our film Yarsa Gambu has been officially selected for the Work-in-Progress Lab 2025 at WAVES Film Bazaar, part of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Set against the majestic yet unforgiving landscapes of the Indo-Tibetan border, Yarsa Gambu is rooted in the spirit of the tribal Himalayan community, whose struggle resilience and traditions continue to inspire generations.
This story comes alive through the desires of few privileged classes and struggle of tribal community of himalayas which showcases a journey into the heart of the himalayas where survival has its own story and the heartfelt performances of our incredible cast — a 2-year-old tribal daughter as (Guddu) Lavyanshi Dugtal,
Rupesh Lama (as Parbati’s husband), Sangeeta Thapa Magar (as Parbati), and Sumit Thapa (as Parbati’s brother-in-law) — who gave their all in the Himalayan terrain, where each frame was a challenge and every moment, a triumph.
Yarsa Gambu is a story about life, survival, and spirit in the high mountains — a reflection of how nature and humanity coexist in the thin air of the Himalayas.
