Like when computers came in the 90s were not jobs in danger?

Then why blame AI? AI is said to be an 11Tn opportunity (old data).

And marketing AI has the highest potential for ROI.

So marketers need to keep themselves updated with AI trends.

Today there are only three types of AI: Descriptive, Predictive & Prescriptive.

Simple, either you use AI with tools like ChatGPT or AI is already embedded in your marketing tools.

So, AI will surely get fired if you don't use it. So embrace the maximum AI tools.

How did I come to know about a country named Sri Lanka?

It was one of the normal summer mornings in my childhood, where I wasn't even out of bed.

Suddenly, the person who used to fill the water in our home came & started calling my father "Anna... Anna".

And, he insisted my father check in radio as some important personality was assassinated. Imagine no 24-hour TV or OTT back then.

My father then switched on the radio & confirmed that Sh. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in Sriperumbudur, somewhere in Tamil Nadu.

And, we four kids being small started asking repeatedly to my father what actually happened & why was he killed?

Then my father told my eldest sister to get the Atlas, just imagine not even online maps back then.

Also, this is when I as a kid realised how diplomatic my father is!

My father said no leader could allow a country to give away natural & human resources & allow another country to be made from the country He/She is ruling.

And, call it my father's fondness for the Gandhi family, He totally supported Rajiv Gandhi's move to send an army to Sri Lanka.

Because the Srilankan rebels could have tried making Sri Lanka & Tamil Nadu a new state. Let's not make it too political.

Then I went up to the person who used to fill the water at our home & explained the situation & started guessing what if suddenly North India - South India had started.

To which, my mother shouted from the kitchen that nothing of that sort would happen as Rajiv wasn't as strong as her mother - Indira Gandhi.

Between, the person who used to fill water started laughing & told my father he was there to protect our family in the worst circumstances & I need not worry.

It's very rare to get people like them in today's world. This was the first time, I came to know about a country called Sri Lanka.

What I am trying to teach today? Master the art of STORYTELLING, this will surely help you in Digital Advertising.

There are many frameworks for Storytelling. The world-famous Pixar Studio has a completely free course at Khan Academy.

In the last few days until I am benched, I attended some 20 webinars, all for free. They even give certificates with a program called Outskill (pending recently).

I did so, to become more cohesive in my marketing. Surely, I not going to purchase their 1000+ webinars package though.

I liked their Content Marketing & Performance Marketing webinars. You nowhere else get these kinds of experienced B2B people speaking.

I listened to these wonderful songs of a few Pakistani singers like "Bakhuda Tumhi Ho" & "Teri Ore".

One thing I realised is, that Pakistan's Atif Aslam realised he could speak on the Kashmir issue only after Pakistani singers were banned from singing in Indian movies.

On the other hand, people like Adnan Sami praised Modi for the surgical strike, are living in India & have received the Padma Shri.

How many of you remember the song from the serial "Bharat Ek Khoj" from the late 80s?

It goes, Shrishti see pehle satya nahi that, asatya bhi nahi....

Similarly, there wasn't any Click Fraud & Digital Creative before the internet.

Then, Tim Berners-Lee said, let's create the internet!

Though, online advertising started in 1995. But, its evolution took place during the dot-com era.

During the Dot-Com era, there came traffic to websites, but there wasn't any liquidity.

Then, almost a new Search Engine with new algorithms started Google Ads.

Even after liquidity on the internet, there wasn't any price discovery that would work in real-time.

That is when Real-Time Bidding (RTB) came & subsequently Google acquired DoubleClick in 2007.

With the rise in many Ad Networks, new Ad Exchanges came. They offered to buy & sell ads through Ad Networks.

This gave rise to the Programmatic ecosystem which we see today with various AdTechs.

Liquidity & Price Discovery are terms from economics. And, Programmatic Advertising isn't anything related to Programming.

As I keep exploring more I will come up with explanations in such simple terms.

After today's Bill which was passed in the Karnataka Assembly, thank god I was born in Karnataka & can speak Kannada.

I have worked in Hyd too, at the start it was like going to an alien land.

I used to say, Koncham koncham wastadi. Artham aitadi. Maatladalu kashta, naaku.

Do you think what the below Software Park has become today it's just because of local people?

Differences will be there, even people of South Karnataka think us (people of North Karnataka) to be a bit rough in their talk.
