📉 One of the most common mistakes I see in Google Ads is focusing only on budget while ignoring Quality Score.
Here's a simple example:
Imagine two companies are targeting the same keyword and bidding similar amounts.
One company has highly relevant ad copy, a fast-loading landing page, and content that matches the user's search intent.
The other sends visitors to a generic page with a loosely related ad.
Even if both spend the same amount, the first company will often get better results.
Why?
Because Google rewards relevance through something called Quality Score.
Quality Score is measured on a scale of 1–10 and is influenced by:
✅ Expected Click-Through Rate (CTR)
✅ Ad Relevance
✅ Landing Page Experience
A higher score can lead to:
✔️ Lower Cost Per Click (CPC)
✔️ Better Ad Positions
✔️ More efficient use of your advertising budget
If your campaigns are generating clicks but conversions are low, don't immediately increase your budget.
First, review your keywords, ad copy, and landing page experience.
Small improvements in relevance can often make a bigger impact than increasing spend.
