At Arusha, TANZANIA
I served the Inter Parliamentary Union of 183 Nations as Member/ Vice President of the Executive Committee for 4 years- 2022 to 2026.

Today- coincidentally- on my Birthday my term came to an end .

I was deeply honoured by the warm and emotional reception I received from President of IPU Ms Tulia Ackson , Secretary General, Ms Anda Fillip and esteemed Parliamentarians who were members of the Executive Committee.

I received a Certificate for my outstanding contribution to the work and mission of the Inter Parliamentary Union . I was humbled by the kind words of all.

I profusely thanked all and expressed my gratitude for the support and affection I received. I feel much more enriched and informed now.

Thank you, Inter Parliamentary Union of Nations. Will always remember my association with this prestigious Association.

IPUର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷା ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ତୁଲିଆ ଆକ୍ସନ୍, ମହାସଚିବ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ଆଣ୍ଡା ଫିଲିପ୍ ଏବଂ ଏକ୍ଜିକ୍ୟୁଟିଭ୍ କମିଟିର ସମ୍ମାନନୀୟ ସଦସ୍ୟ ସାଂସଦମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋତେ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିବା ଉଷ୍ମ ଓ ଭାବପ୍ରବଣ ବିଦାୟ ସମ୍ମାନ ମୋତେ ଗଭୀର ଭାବେ ଆବେଗାପ୍ଲୁତ କରିଛି।

ଇଣ୍ଟର-ପାର୍ଲାମେଣ୍ଟାରୀ ୟୁନିଅନ୍‌ର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଓ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ଅବଦାନକୁ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ଦେଇ ମୋତେ ଏକ ପ୍ରମାଣପତ୍ର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଇଛି। ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସ୍ନେହପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ ହୃଦୟସ୍ପର୍ଶୀ କଥା ମୋତେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପ୍ଲୁତ କରିଛି।

ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ହୃଦୟରୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଜଣାଇବା ସହିତ, ଏହି ସମଗ୍ର ଯାତ୍ରାରେ ମୋତେ ମିଳିଥିବା ସମର୍ଥନ, ସ୍ନେହ ଓ ଆତ୍ମୀୟତା ପାଇଁ ଗଭୀର କୃତଜ୍ଞତା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛି। ଏହି ଅନୁଭବ ମୋତେ ଅଧିକ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ, ଅଭିଜ୍ଞ ଓ ସଚେତନ କରିଛି।

ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ, ଇଣ୍ଟର-ପାର୍ଲାମେଣ୍ଟାରୀ ୟୁନିଅନ୍। ଏହି ଗୌରବମୟ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ସହିତ ମୋର ସମ୍ପର୍କକୁ ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଦା ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବି।

ଆଜି “ତାଞ୍ଜାନିଆ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ବିକାଶଶୀଳ ଦେଶର ସେବାରେ ଜାତିସଂଘର ଭୂମିକା” ବିଷୟ ଉପରେ ମୁଁ ମୋର ମତାମତ ରଖିଲି।

ଏହାସହିତ, ତାଞ୍ଜାନିଆସ୍ଥିତ ଭାରତୀୟ ହାଇ କମିଶନରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆୟୋଜିତ 🇮🇳 ଭାରତୀୟ ପ୍ରବାସୀ ସମୁଦାୟର ସମାବେଶରେ ଯୋଗଦେଲି। ପିଢ଼ି ପରେ ପିଢ଼ି ତାଞ୍ଜାନିଆରେ ବସବାସ କରୁଥିବା ଭାରତୀୟ ମହିଳା ଓ ପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିବା ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଭାବେ ଏକ ଆନନ୍ଦଦାୟକ ଅନୁଭୂତି ଥିଲା।

Yesterday at Arusha, TANZANIA..Day 3

In the Asia Pacific Geopolitical Group, I was asked to brief the Hon’ble delegates from 37 Member Countries regarding the discussion that took place in the Executive Committee of the Inter Parliamentary Union on the previous two days. Spoke about our India- the largest democracy of the world- which symbolises Unity in Diversity.

Attended the Inaugural Ceremony of 153rd IPU Assembly with my esteemed colleagues from India in the evening hours.

We met Hon’ble Speakers of Tanzania and Australia too.

Grateful to Hon’ble PM Sri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Speaker Sri Om Birla for giving me this opportunity.

ଏସିଆ-ପ୍ୟାସିଫିକ୍ ଜିଓପଲିଟିକାଲ୍ ଗ୍ରୁପ୍‌ରେ ୩୭ଟି ସଦସ୍ୟ ଦେଶର ମାନ୍ୟବର ପ୍ରତିନିଧିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗତ ଦୁଇ ଦିନ ଧରି ଇଣ୍ଟର-ପାର୍ଲିଆମେଣ୍ଟାରୀ ୟୁନିଅନ୍‌ (IPU)ର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟନିର୍ବାହୀ କମିଟିରେ ହୋଇଥିବା ଆଲୋଚନା ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ଅବଗତ କରାଇବା ପାଇଁ ମୋତେ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିଲା।

ବିଶ୍ୱର ସର୍ବବୃହତ ଗଣତନ୍ତ୍ର ଆମ ଭାରତ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ମୁଁ ବିସ୍ତୃତ ଭାବେ ମତ ରଖିଲି। ‘ବିବିଧତାରେ ଏକତା’ ର ଅନନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତୀକ ଭାବେ ଭାରତ ସମଗ୍ର ବିଶ୍ୱ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଆଦର୍ଶ ବୋଲି ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରିଲି।

ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାରେ ମୋର ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଭାରତୀୟ ସହଯୋଗୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ୧୫୩ତମ IPU ଆସେମ୍ବଲିର ଉଦ୍‌ଘାଟନୀ ସମାରୋହରେ ଯୋଗଦେଲି।

ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ତାଞ୍ଜାନିଆ ଏବଂ ଅଷ୍ଟ୍ରେଲିଆର ମାନ୍ୟବର ବାଚସ୍ପତିମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ମଧ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତ୍ ହେଲା।

First Day-
In the Executive Committee Meeting of the Inter Parliamentary Union( IPU) at Arusha, TANZANIA, today.

Spoke at length on the need to promote women participation in all 183 National Parliaments which are members of the IPU.

I informed the esteemed Members about the poor percentage of women in some National Parliaments.

Women hold half the sky. They need to play a proactive role in Governance Matters everywhere.

I did talk about Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam Act of Indian Parliament which intended to ensure 33% reservation in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies.

Positive response it evoked from all.
The Executive Committee is deciding the agenda items to be taken up for discussion in the 153rd General Assembly of the IPU due to commence soon.

ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନ—
ଆଜି ତାଞ୍ଜାନିଆର ଆରୁଷାଠାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଆନ୍ତଃସଂସଦୀୟ ୟୁନିଅନ୍ (IPU)ର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ କମିଟି ବୈଠକରେ ଯୋଗଦେଲି।

IPUର ସଦସ୍ୟ ଥିବା ୧୮୩ଟି ଜାତୀୟ ସଂସଦରେ ମହିଳାଙ୍କ ଅଂଶଗ୍ରହଣକୁ କିପରି ଅଧିକ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରାଯାଇପାରିବ, ସେନେଇ ବିସ୍ତୃତ ଭାବେ ମୋର ମତ ରଖିଲି। କେତେକ ଜାତୀୟ ସଂସଦରେ ମହିଳାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିନିଧିତ୍ୱର ନିମ୍ନ ହାର ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମାନ୍ୟବର ସଦସ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅବଗତ କରାଇଲି।

ମହିଳାମାନେ ସମାଜର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧାକାଶକୁ ଧାରଣ କରନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସବୁଠାରେ ଶାସନ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସକ୍ରିୟ ଓ ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ ଭୂମିକା ରହିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।

ଭାରତୀୟ ସଂସଦରେ ପ୍ରଣୀତ ‘ନାରୀ ଶକ୍ତି ବନ୍ଦନ ଅଧିନିୟମ’ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆଲୋଚନା କଲି, ଯାହା ଲୋକସଭା ଓ ରାଜ୍ୟ ବିଧାନସଭାଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ମହିଳାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ୩୩% ଆସନ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ସୁନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବାର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ରଖେ।

ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ ମୋର ମତାମତ ପ୍ରତି ସମସ୍ତ ମାନ୍ୟବର ସଦସ୍ୟଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସକାରାତ୍ମକ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ମିଳିଲା।

ଆଗାମୀ ଦିନରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେବାକୁ ଥିବା IPUର ୧୫୩ତମ ସାଧାରଣ ସଭାରେ କେଉଁ କେଉଁ ବିଷୟ ଆଲୋଚନା ପାଇଁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରାଯିବ, ସେନେଇ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ କମିଟି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଏଜେଣ୍ଡା ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧାରଣ କରୁଛି।

I derive immense pleasure from meeting and interacting with my Party colleagues.

It is because of the Blessings of the people of Bhubaneswar and the support received from my Party colleagues that I have the privilege of getting elected to the Lok Sabha from the prestigious Bhubaneswar Parliamentary Constituency. I am Grateful.🙏

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ତଥା ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥ ଓ କଲ୍ୟାଣକୁ ସର୍ବୋପରି ରଖି ଆମ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି ହୋଇ ନିଷ୍ଠାର ସହ କଠିନ ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରିବାକୁ ହେବ। ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କ ସେବା ଏବଂ ସଂଗଠନର ସୁଦୃଢ଼ୀକରଣ ପାଇଁ ଆମେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମିଳିମିଶି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବା। 🙏

Today the 8th Monthly Health Camp- SANSAD CHIKITSA SHIVIRA- was organised by us fo the people of Narangarh Gram Panchayat and other adjoining areas in Khurdha Assembly Segment.

Hon’ble MLA Sri Prasant Kumar Jagadev , my colleagues and residents of the area were present .

On our request, Doctors and para medical staff from Capital Hospital and Khurdha District Hqr Hospital rendered services.
I am grateful to each one of them.

Walked through the villages and met people along the way. PMAY houses need to be sanctioned in a few cases which I will certainly take up with the District Authorities. Spoke to many. Heard all.

Listened to episode with all. I highlighted the issues raised by Hon’ble PM Sri Narendra Modi in his monthly talk to us.

Around 570 people- women and Men, Girls and Boys - got themselves examined in the Health Camp. Medicines were given free of cost and simple tests were also conducted without any cost.

We try to make health services accessible to people in the rural areas of my Bhubaneswar Parliamentary Constituency.

ଆଜି ଅଷ୍ଟମ ମାସିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ଶିବିର – “ସଂସଦ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଶିବିର” – ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ବିଧାନସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ନରଣଗଡ଼ ଗ୍ରାମ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ଏବଂ ଏହାର ଆଖପାଖ ଅଞ୍ଚଳବାସୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।

ମାନ୍ୟବର ବିଧାୟକ ଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତ କୁମାର ଜଗଦ୍ଦେବ, ମୋର ସହଯୋଗୀମାନେ ଏବଂ ଅଞ୍ଚଳବାସୀ ଏହି ଶିବିରରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।

ଆମର ଅନୁରୋଧକ୍ରମେ କ୍ୟାପିଟାଲ୍ ହସ୍ପିଟାଲ୍ ଏବଂ ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଚିକିତ୍ସାଳୟର ଡାକ୍ତର ଓ ପାରାମେଡିକାଲ୍ କର୍ମଚାରୀମାନେ ନିଜର ମୂଲ୍ୟବାନ ସେବା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ। ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୁଁ ହୃଦୟରୁ କୃତଜ୍ଞ।

ଶିବିର ପରେ ଗାଁଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଦେଇ ଚାଲିଚାଲି ଯାଇ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଅନେକ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିଲି। କେତେକ ପରିବାରଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ PMAY ଗୃହ ମଞ୍ଜୁରୀର ଆବଶ୍ୟକତା ରହିଛି। ଏହି ବିଷୟକୁ ମୁଁ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଭାବେ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉଠାଇବି। ଅନେକଙ୍କ ସହ କଥା ହେଲି, ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ କଥା ମନ ଦେଇ ଶୁଣିଲି।

ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସହ ଆଜିର ଅଧ୍ୟାୟ ମଧ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିଲୁ। ମାନ୍ୟବର ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ ତାଙ୍କ ମାସିକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାରେ ଉଠାଇଥିବା ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବିଷୟ ଓ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗ ଉପରେ ମୁଁ ଆଲୋକପାତ କଲି।

ଏହି ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ଶିବିରରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୫୭୦ ଜଣ ମହିଳା, ପୁରୁଷ, ଯୁବତୀ ଓ ଯୁବକ ନିଜର ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରାଇଥିଲେ। ମାଗଣାରେ ଔଷଧ ବଣ୍ଟନ କରାଯିବା ସହିତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସରଳ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପରୀକ୍ଷା ମଧ୍ୟ ନିଶୁଳ୍କ ଭାବେ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା।

ମୋର ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ଲୋକସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ସହଜ ଓ ସୁଲଭ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟସେବା ପହଞ୍ଚାଇବା ଆମର ନିରନ୍ତର ପ୍ରୟାସ। ଏହି ପ୍ରୟାସ ଆଗାମୀ ଦିନରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାରି ରହିବ।
