Goa Republic News AAP’s Jan Aakrosh Morcha to Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar’s Residence Against High Electricity Bills*
AAP Goa staged a Jan Aakrosh Morcha to the residence of Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar, protesting exorbitant electricity bills and heavy penalties imposed on consumers across Goa. Despite repeated demands and an ultimatum given to Minister Dhavlikar to waive penalties imposed for exceeding sanctioned load, the government refused to provide relief, clearly indicating that the BJP government is using electricity department as an extortion machine by imposing penalties, inflated bills and smart meters to loot money from common people.
AAP said the protest was a call for Goans to unite against BJP’s Loot, demanding exemption of penalties imposed and a warning that if BJP government gets in power again, even the electricity department will be privatised, leaving common man crushed between corrupt government and corporates.
