Pleasant Distraction? Disruption? Dysfunction? Just amusing!

Often doodling is relaxing, mindless and playful. Corner of a page, a sticky note, paper napkin, on one's hand or palm, dust on a vehicle's window (...paper is not always needed), in all its variety, doodling is a fun pastime. Though this random doodle on skin (also common), was a sign of quietly slipping out of some forgettable drudge work. Right after which the itch to digitise the (finished) doodle, made a tiny distraction turn into classic Flow-crastination!

Thus the river of time passed on from a freestyle doodle to a carefully traced out and digitally painted drawing to a video, capturing the stages of transformation. What happened to drudge work then?

Another window of unshakable focus opened up to get back to the unfinished work. Ways of an Incomprehensible mind!

Graphical images, one photographic, one painted, both highly saturated with similar colour palettes, one captures a serene urban twilight sky, the other pictures a fictional pastoral turbulence. Both combined become a cocktail of exaggerated visual noise.

Thresholds facilitate movement in space, of time, emotions, perceptions and memories. Movement is certain at thresholds, what is uncertain is what, when and how movement plays out, and the accompanied unknowable of what all moves unrestrained with the force of the unknown and the uncertain. In this intersection of drama, tension and anticipation, sits inspiration and vision for APPROACHING.
