Early trends of Sales data (1-22nd June) shows a positive comeback of India Pharmaceutical Industry (IPM).
IPM might register close to 5% growth rate for Jun 20 month (YoY).

Key highlights:
+ Anti-infective, Gastro, VMN markets are falling back on track.
+ Respiratory market bouncing back.
+ Cardiac and Anti-Diabetic therapies might lead the market in Jun month as well.

All most all therapies are on a recovery phase and might register a positive growth at end of the month.

Indian Pharmaceutical industry sales for Apr 2020 month have declined by 12% compared to same month last year.

This won't be a shock considering the current

Image shows therapy wise growth rate of Apr 2020 month.
Insights from Image:
1. Cardiac therapy registered maximum sale in Apr 2020 month followed by Anti-diabetic, Anti-infective and so on. (Therapy are sorted in descending order of Apr 2020 sales).

2. Cardiac, Anti-Diabetic and Anti-Malarial therapies showed a positive growth rate.

3. Rest all therapies showed a negative growth rate.

4. Worst hit are Anti-Infectives, Gastrointestinal and VMN markets.

Relaxation of lock down, improvised supply chain, digitization of brand promotion, digitization of Healthcare system will be positive signs for recovery of Indian pharmaceutical market.
