Ankush Sachdeva launched 17 businesses, however they were all a failure. Ankush Sachdeva, together with his two IIT-alumni buddies Farid Ahsan and Bhanu Singh, worked on the Sharechat app on his 18th attempt, which was released in October 2015.
Ankush Sachdeva, the creator of ShareChat, is now well-known, yet he tried 17 different things until he finally succeeded with ShareChat.
Ankush Sachdeva saw the need for a localised social media network that would assist connect users from smaller Indian towns and cities where Facebook and other platforms were not user-friendly due to the complexity of the English language, and he founded the firm as a result.
In order to serve Indian audiences, Mohalla Tech Private Limited, the holding company of ShareChat, was established in January 2015.
The platform is currently accessible in 15 languages, including English, Hindi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Odia, Kannada, Assamese, Haryanvi, Rajasthani, and Bhojpuri.
Ankush Sachdeva graduated from Somerville School's senior secondary programme in 2011 and thereafter enrolled at IIT Kanpur. He was working towards a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science at the time. After completing his B.Tech. in 2015, Ankush Sachdeva worked as an intern at Microsoft from May to July 2014.
