The (e-waste) sector is growing at an alarming rate. If statistics are anything to go by, less than 10% of over 32 lakh tonnes of generated in 🇮🇳 gets recycled ♻️ responsibly. This poses significant environmental and health risks for us. Unfortunately, the majority of e-waste management is carried out by informal players who lack necessary knowledge, resources & skills to handle such safely. They unknowingly put their own & others’ lives and the at risk due to the lack of proper and measures. These workers are often unaware of the dangers of handling e-waste and its negative impact.

Sensitising informal business owners is crucial to promote socially-responsible and environmentally-safe disposal and dismantling of e-waste. It will help prevent , protect and promote environmental conservation.

On this , let’s take a moment to 📣 awareness about the importance of safe and healthy working conditions for all workers, especially those in hazardous occupations such as electronic waste recycling.
