• 3D BIM Model: Building information model (BIM) is a more complex and intelligent type of 3D
modeling which helps the owners to generate a 3D model showing the physical and functional features
of the building
• Plan View Drawings: Plan view is defined as a vertical orthographic projection of an object on
to a horizontal plane cutting through the building. This shows the walls, windows, door, and other
features such as stairs, fittings and even furniture too.
• Elevation Drawings: Elevation drawings are a specific type of drawing architects use to
illustrate a building or portion of a building. This is as if you directly in front of a building
and looked straight at it.
• Section Drawings: Section drawings are drawn from a vertical plane slicing through a building. This is as if you cut through a space vertically and stood directly in front looking straight at
it.
• Floor Plans: Floor plans are a form of orthographic projection that can be used to show the
layout of rooms within buildings, as seen from above.
• .RCP File: .RCP files are specific file formats that contains the data/Information about our
buildings and can be accessed using Recap or Revit software’s.
• Point Cloud Data: Point cloud can be defined as a collection of data points in space produced by
3D scanners or by photogrammetry software. The laser scanner captures an accurate as built of an
object or area, which can be used to create a drawing of an existing structure with the exact
dimensions and specifications. This data can produce a CAD/BIM model to estimate, detail, or
renovate a construction project.
• 2D CAD Drawings (. Most
architectural and construction projects are designed in AutoCAD. So .dwg is one of the most common
files used for both 2D and 3D drawings.
