Some days make you question your entire existence, while others make you feel like you're doing the most important work in the whole world.
Some days I get to see the twisted truth through media and content - negativity and hatred.
The other days I see some beautiful pieces of content that makes me happy about the widespread access to content creation and curation.
"Made in Heaven" by Tiger Baby has once again proven that the Indian audience is capable of handling intense content without being offended - when it is presented well.
I am not proud of binge-watching the entire show in a go, but I did it anyway.
Some learning material for filmmakers from this show:
✨ The value of aesthetic: Intense doesn't mean not-good-looking. It's in the angles and the shots that you find the aesthetic.
✨Go all the way, don't mince your words or your content. Say what you think needs to be said. Don't be shy or scared. If you're too scared, drop the idea and pick it up again when you are less scared.
✨ Characters don't have to make ethical choices. You're telling a story. It must use the perspective of the character and not the 'ethical' perspective. Here, the character is free to be human and do things completely out of spite or love, and none of it needs to be justified.
