The Women Leaders’ Conclave (WLC) 2026, led by Rekha Mody, brought together 125 women leaders from 13 states at the India International Centre, New Delhi, for two days of dialogue, ideas and action on women’s leadership and gender equity.

From women in panchayats to policymakers, academics, lawyers, artists and social leaders, WLC created a powerful space for voices across India to come together.

Day 1 explored women’s leadership, climate action, the care economy, livelihoods and women’s writing, with voices including Dr. Rashmi Singh, Prof. B.S. Sahay, Prof. Vinita Sahay and Dr. Alka Saraogi.

Day 2 put grassroots women leaders centre stage through Panchayat to Parliament, alongside conversations on digital safety, work and mobility, law and access to justice.

Lady Kishwar Desai, Founder & Chair, Partition Museum, commemorated Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at the Partition Museum, Delhi, marking 79 years since Partition and remembering the lives uprooted in 1947.

The commemoration was led by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and held in collaboration with IGNCA, with Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary, IGNCA, as Guest of Honour, alongside Ms Lakshmi Puri and Shri K. Mahesh.

A poignant remembrance of loss, resilience, rebuilding and hope.

The Women Leaders Conclave 2026 is currently underway at the Kamala Devi Complex inside the India International Centre, New Delhi. Organized by Stree Shakti, the two-day event runs from August 13 to 14, featuring collaboration with IIM Jammu as the knowledge partner and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the industry partner.

Curated by Raseel Gujral Ansal, the exhibition weaves together Tanjore paintings, Mysore reverse glass art, Pichwai works, Raja Ravi Varma oleographs and sacred ritual objects into an immersive cultural experience in Delhi.

Grateful to The Times of India for this rare, deeply nuanced feature on ‘Dakhini Dil’ – A Sacred Dialogue’ and ‘Prints of Divine’—a visual journey that maps India’s devotional art across time and geography.
