Posted โข When people land on your Instagram profile, are they following you?
If not, the problem could be your feed. Looks aren't everything โ but they do matter in that you want to let people know you're about your business. ๐
You only get one chance to make a first impression, so it better be a good one. Hereโs how you can create an Instagram feed that people want to follow. ๐
1๏ธโฃ Begin with the end in mind
Donโt just create a pretty feed for the sake of it - make sure it serves a purpose and a specific audience. Be clear who youโre creating content for and how you want them to feel, and to do that you need to understand your target demographic, along with your brandโs mission and vision.
2๏ธโฃ Decide on a look and feel that sets the tone for your profile
Select brand colours that will show up everywhere, from your website to branded materials, and any graphics or images on Instagram. Colour science is real, and it does matter in terms of creating a visual harmony so itโs worth some research (there are some handy resources on ). Edit your images with the same filters or settings so theyโre consistent. Your aesthetic should match the mood of your brand, and sometimes itโs just a vibe as opposed to specifics.
3๏ธโฃ Plan your feed using a visual planner
Use visual planners like (hit the link in our bio for a free month), and to make sure your feed is balanced and that it breathes and isnโt too busy or crowded. Embrace negative space and coordinate your colours so everything flows and is intentional.
4๏ธโฃ Create and distribute high-quality content
Your content should always be created with your aesthetic in mind. Consider the colours in any given image, the resolution of images, video and graphics (always, always be high res!), lighting (natural versus artificial), photo composition, and just as importantly, the value of your post. Donโt just post to post - inspire, entertain or educate at all times, and leave your audience wanting to come back for more.
