To the team that worked all hours, workdays and weekends to get a massive Salesforce to HubSpot migration go live on time!

Fraught with challenges, this project tested the team and the company as a whole.

AI and The Future of Work

That was the title of a session we had yesterday at our offsite.

Do we see AI as competition? People with better AI skills as competition?

Is there a difference in the way we use AI based on our skill level in any domain?

What role does judgement play in working with AI?

If AI has an edge over us in skills, what are the areas we have an edge over AI?

Fantastic session facilitated by and

Great insights from .sharma and other Nisweyans

We ended with a neat framework that helps us identify where to focus our energies.

The 2026 offsite sessions opened with a refresher course on the Great Game of Business (GGOB). And it was ably led by and Manoj.

They covered the core concepts: What contributes to revenue, direct expenses and indirect expenses? Why do we have a balance sheet, a cash flow statement and a profit/loss sheet? What the hell is COGS (cost of goods and services)?

They uncovered areas that the team was confused about: Is profit the same as cash flow? And places where the math was not mathing.

The key part of the session was a fictitious problem statement that Ankita and Manoj gave to the team. The team was divided into 5 groups, and figure why the cafe company, Red Ledger was in losses. What needed to be done to hit profitability? And by when?

It is not everyday that you see developers, QA specialists, CRM specialists, sales, marketing, admin, HR and accounting people come together to solve a business problem. So last evening was special.

Big hugs and high-fives to Ankita and Manoj!

Back story: We started on the journey of Great Game of Business (GGOB) in 2024, with the core idea that when team members learn business fundamentals, they become engaged allies to drive real monetary transformation.

Since Dec 2024, we have had weekly calls to forecast our sales and expense numbers. We have gotten better with it, no doubt. But learning business fundamentals is not easy. It is a continuous process, and as new people join the team, a recurring one too.

But the team has soldiered on and led huddles and weekly syncs. They have designed Mini Games, a key component of GGOB. We have done well with some, not so much with others. It’s continuous learning. And all of it, outside of their daily work. Yet, people show up, learning and teaching other.

But why? To understand how their work contributes to the bottomline, and what they can do to increase profits?

Why? So each person has a real stake in the outcome: better profits mean better hikes, and bonuses.
