Having a name like The Neat Trick is a bit of a commitment. A commitment to how we think, how we design & how we act as your brand partner.

You can’t half-ass the trick.
You can’t fake the reveal.
And you definitely can’t rely on “this might go viral.”

So no, naming isn’t a spark for us,
it’s pressure. The good kind.

The kind that forces you to think harder, cut deeper, and land sharper.

Because the name says so, and says it all.

See you in the process. 🍿

POV: you designed something a decade ago and it still hits different.

Back when LIT was just an idea, we rolled up our sleeves (and a lot of paper).
From the name to the pack to the vibe — every detail sparked with intent.

Fast forward 10 years… and it’s not just a brand, it’s a whole mood.
Seen, shared, passed around, and somehow still fresh.

This one’s special. Not just because it worked —
but because it stayed lit.

Proof that when you build it right, it doesn’t fade… it just keeps burning brighter. 🔥

Big love to the journey, the chaos, the late nights,
and to the LIT fam for staying, well… lit.

You know that feeling when a brand almost has a point of view but the words are not doing enough?

Yeah. We’re hiring for that.

Looking for a senior copywriter who can build voice, sharpen ideas, and write words that belong to the brand, not the category.

The Nutraceutical industry didn’t need another fitness promise.

It needed a clarity, trust and doctor in the room.

Performance nutrition today is loud.
Bright tubs. Aggressive claims.
Every scoop promising transformation.

But the body doesn’t work like marketing.

When Dr. Morepen began shaping Muscle Food, the thinking started somewhere quieter — inside decades of medical trust.

Doctors understand something the supplement aisle often forgets.
Strength isn’t built by hype.
It’s built by consistency, nutrition, and systems that actually support the body.

So the brand wasn’t designed like a gym label.
It behaves more like a nutritional ally.

Clear formulations.
Purposeful ingredients.
Communication that explains, not exaggerates.

Because performance nutrition works best when science is part of the conversation.

From sunset plates to after-hours bass —
every detail made to perform

That was the trick. 🎺

Nomenclature
Identity system
Spatial Design
Collateral Design
Everything in sync.

Ba Ba Reeba

A name that feels like a beat drop.
Short. Punchy. Repetitive.
Like the start of a song you cannot get out of your head.

At its core, Ba Ba Reeba is about energy. The kind that builds when music, cocktails and conversation collide on a rooftop.

So we asked ourselves:
What if the brand moved like music?
The logo became the opening note.
A martini glass that bends like a trumpet.
It’s bowl catching sunlight.
Rising into a frame like a rooftop at golden hour.

Music.
Cocktails.
Skyline.

Three elements. One mark.

From there, we simply started to compose the space.

The bar menu spins like a vinyl.
The food menu mirrors the curve of a horn.
Signages hang like suspended notes.
Coasters sit like miniature records waiting to be played.
Every touchpoint follows the same rhythm.

Nothing ornamental. Everything intentional.

For us, .pune is not just a name.
It is a tempo. Turn the volume up.🎶🍸

We’re expanding our design team at The Neat Trick.

————————

Role 1 -

We’re looking for brand designers.

People who understand:
• Systems, not just surfaces
• Packaging as strategy, not decoration
• Typography as behaviour
• Consistency across touchpoints

You should be comfortable thinking through brand architecture, building visual languages, adapting masters into scalable systems, and caring deeply about the small details that most people ignore.

If you obsess over alignment, hierarchy, logic and craft
If you can defend your decisions
If you’re interested in building systematic brands

————————

Role 2 -

Remote/Part-Time Motion Designer + Video Editor

We’re looking for someone who understands motion as part of a brand system.
Not noise. Not over-animation. Not trend-chasing.

People who understand:
• Pacing, not just transitions
• Typography in motion, with intent
• Editing as structure
• Sound, rhythm and restraint

You should be comfortable animating identities without distorting them, cutting short-form content with clarity, and knowing when to hold a frame instead of filling it.

If you believe timing is more important than templates
If you can make movement feel designed, not added
If you care about craft even in 8 seconds

————————

We should talk.

Designing Batliwala & Co. felt like a conversation that kept getting sharper.

Across the table, between us and Abhigyan Neogi,
the discussions weren’t about tiles or typefaces.
They were about presence.

How do you build a restaurant that feels like someone behind the counter remembers you…
has opinions about your order…
and still refills your chai?
At some point we realised we weren’t designing a restaurant.
We were crafting a personality.

Every decision became a filter:
Does this feel polite?
Or does this feel like Farood?

The architecture of the space held memory.
And the branding prevented it from becoming polite.
Somewhere between structure and sarcasm, Farood Batliwala started appearing.
Not as a mascot.
Not as a character sketch.
But as behaviour.

This reel is about that calibration.
The push. The pull. The almost right versions.
And the moment the space stopped feeling designed… and started feeling inhabited.

Batliwala & Co., a Parsi–Irani restaurant in Dubai, didn’t need a mascot.
It needed a host.

When we began designing the brand, we kept coming back to one thing.
Parsi–Irani cafés were never just about food.

They were about the people behind the counter.
The loud opinions. The unsolicited advice. The way someone remembered your order and commented on your life.

If we stripped that presence away, the brand felt flat.
Too polite. Too designed.

So instead of creating a symbolic mascot, we designed a presence.
Someone who could live inside the system.

That’s how Farood Batliwala came to be.

His voice shaped the typography. Expressive, opinionated, never decorative.
His habits informed the patterns. Repetitive, familiar, a little messy.
Even the layouts behave like conversations, not compositions.

Farood isn’t added to the brand.
He’s part of how it behaves.

Farood Batliwala.
Dadar-raised. Dubai-based.
Still running the table his way.

Here’s a peek at our branding project for Unison Centrio. Centrio Mall has been developed to be a chic shopping destination in Dehradun. It's a place where people can bond, shop, and enjoy!

Centrio Mall’s architecture is what inspired us to create a classy & minimal logo that goes with the overall brand image and tone. The oval-shaped atrium reflects their vision to be a brand that is exclusive, innovative yet approachable.
