Are Remanufactured Toner Cartridges Reliable?
For printer users who have been looking for ways to save on their printing expenses are likely to be acquainted with the terms alternative printer cartridges especially those who are using laser printers since laser toner cartridges are known to be expensive. As a matter of facts, some OEM toners costs higher than laser printers which caused consumers to use alternative cartridges for their printers instead.
There are basically two types of alternative toner cartridges, compatible toner cartridges and remanufactured toner cartridges. Compatible toner cartridges are cartridges produced by third-party companies–their looks, design and page yield slightly different from genuine cartridges or OEM cartridges due to the latter’s certain patents. Remanufactured toner cartridges, on the other hand, are refurbished used OEM toner cartridges that have been dismantled after the first use and reprocessed, replacing any worn or defective parts from it with new parts and cleaned before being refilled with new toner.
Quality remanufactured toners are first disassembled and thoroughly cleaned, after which any worn parts are replaced to ensure high quality prints and performance similar to that of the OEM and went under quality-control test to pass the specifications and requirements that the printing industry had set for branded cartridges as well. These remanufactured toner cartridges can also deliver the same page yield and print quality similar to genuine cartridges, making them no less difference from the latter.
The only thing they differ from OEM cartridges is that they cost less, offering up to 40-50% saving. Since remanufactured toner cartridges use recycled parts, the production costs are significantly lower than new printer cartridges. This was what makes them ideal alternative cartridges, providing consumers with quality similar to branded cartridges with the price they can easily afford.
