Ksh*tij Studios is hiring: Looking for a sound engineer/s who can communicate well and have a great will to learn. A patient professional who is open to doing everything under the enormous sound engineering umbrella including recording, editing and mixing voice overs, film dubbing radio and tvc sound design, use of stock music ,sound design, radio drama, podcasts. Knowledge of following will be an added advantage. Please keep in mind that 90% of the work at Ksh*tij Studios is related to Advertising i.e. voice over work and pre and post work for ad film development. Candidates interested in recording music or related to music production need not apply for the job description.
Recording basics including: Recording
Recording studio Hardware: Usage of microphones, preamp, compressor,analog/digital mixer, analog audio routing, types of analog and digital cables, basic flow of analog and digital data.
Software knowledge :Any one Digital audio workstation in order of priority including Sony Vegas Pro, Cubase /Nuendo or Pro tools. Usage of DAW plugins including vocal processing, mixing, broadcast radio, tv and social media loudness metering. Working with various video and audio compression file formats including wav, aiff, multichannel wav broadcast files, mp3, MP4,m4v, QuickTime pro rez etc. Working knowledge Microsoft office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Digital audio: Knowledge of digital audio, sample rates, bit rates and audio channels, phase relationship, phase delays, dither, noise reduction, cancellation and removal, restoration and clean-up of home and smartphone recorded files and file formats.
Communication hardware/software: Basics of intranet and internet, ethernet and types of ethernet cables, basics of modem and extenders, managing WIFI routers, smartphone android /ios basic knowledge, video conferencing and audio conferencing software, using what's app and other messenger apps to send and receive data and documents
Though a diploma or bachelor's degree in sound engineering is not a must but If you have a diploma or a degree it will just help us at Ksh*tij Studios for not to train you from the basics. We can straight forward start with live projects.
