The World is in the midst of global warming and climate change. The source of nearly every piece of plastic that exists in the World is Fossil Fuel. At every stage of the plastic life , it emits the greenhouse gases. Therefore , the production and life cycle of plastic is greater threat to the globe and human kind. Plastic - durable and cheap , it was everywhere , and everyone used it . Therefore the growing production of plastics is accelerating the climate change . Plastic is made to last , often for 400-1000 years or more. By 2050 , when plastic production is expected to have tripled , it will be responsible for up to 13% of Earths total carbon budget .

The only way we can now address the problem and save our planet is to reduce the production and consumption of ordinary plastic , especially of the non-degradable variety , and ease the plastic waste management. The biodegradable plastics are manufactured from Renewable Raw Materials or all - natural plant materials such as Avocado , Cassava , Corn Oil , Soy Beans or starch. They are able to decompose naturally in the Environment by when exposed to the suns Ultra-Violet radiations , enzymes , Bacteria , Water or Wind abrasion , giving an end product that is less harmful to the Environment . Biodegradable plastics ability to naturally degrade within an organic period of 6-12 months makes it unique from other plastics.
