📈 Aluminium Holds the Repriced Range as Gains Continue to Face Short-Term Selling ⚙️📊📉
🗓️ Thursday, 27 August, 2026
* Aluminium opened the period at US$3,205.0 per tonne on 20 August, before advancing sharply to US$3,237.5 per tonne on 21 August, marking a US$32.5 per tonne increase in a single session.
* Prices corrected to US$3,228.5 per tonne on 22 August, but the decline remained contained within the higher range established after the initial repetition.
* The market subsequently recovered to US$3,238.0 per tonne on 25 August, marginally exceeding the 21 August high and establishing a new period high.
* Aluminium then declined to US$3,225.0 per tonne on 26 August, giving back part of the latest advance while remaining above the period’s opening level.
* The price range shifted materially higher during the period, with the US$3,205.0 per tonne opening level rising to a peak of US$3,238.0 per tonne, a total range expansion of US$33.0 per tonne.
* Overall, the data indicate that Aluminium established a higher trading range, but repeated reversals after advances suggest that upside extensions have so far faced selling pressure rather than developing into a sustained directional move.
