Why we should with native app instead of hybrid. Here is the reason.
Nowadays everyone is on their phones so if you ask yourself 'Do I need a mobile application for my business?', the answer is definitely 'yes'.
In 2015, 90% of time spent by the Indian consumers on mobile devices was spent on mobile apps and only 10% was spent on the mobile web. This statistics speaks for itself.
The second question that comes to your mind is 'how to develop it - make one hybrid application for all platforms or go with native development for each platform?'
Let us help you - we have evaluated pros and cons of hybrid development based on HTML5 frameworks and would be happy to share with you.
Pros of a hybrid app:
cross-platform coverage: an app is developed once and could work on several platforms without extra efforts;
costs: development of two or three native platforms is always more expensive than the development of one hybrid app;
custom design: one can make any design without being tied to the native design elements and OS guidelines.
Cons of a hybrid app:
cross-platform coverage: native platforms (iOS, Android) usually use different navigation elements, which regular users are used to on these platforms. Hybrid apps have to use some general elements of navigation not typical for any of the platforms.
custom design: as we have mentioned above, native platforms use their standard OS design elements. Hybrid apps have to use some common/general designs that look uncharacteristic of either of the platforms. There is an option to make a custom design for each platform (iOS/Android) - different screens and try to imitate native navigation, but in this case, the price of development becomes almost equal to the price of native development.
productivity: hybrid apps are slower and less productive due to technical limits. They are sluggish, less responsive, and users notice that.
We strongly don't recommend using hybrid development for apps that have more than three screens and require some user input - in this case, native development is recommended.
Such companies like Google (Gmail for iOS), Facebook, LinkedIn, Bank of America all started the development of their apps on html5, but after some time it was stopped and moved to native developmen
